I didn't like this volume as much as the previous one (Angel).

Reading all these Erica Sakurazawa manga in a row makes all the stories feel very same-y. So far in three volumes there have been three different characters called Ken. 😂 Also, people keep cheating during their long-term relationships. It's like, we get it. Tell me something new.

My favourite story in this collection was "Tea Time", about a woman in an eight-year relationship who goes on a planned couples' vacation without her boyfriend because he's too busy with work to join her.

personal favorites were tea time and angel nest. for the former especially, the story and characters felt more fully developed compared to the rest in the collection

I don’t think I care for short stories… By the time I feel like it’s moving along, it’s over…

3.5 stars rounded up. An anthology of slice of life short stories generally themed around relationships in transition. As with most anthologies, mileage may vary, but there were a few that were genuinely affecting, and the line art is wistful and contemplative throughout with some beautiful standout pages.

Picked this up because I really enjoyed Sakurazawa's Angel. The first half of the book which dealt with the angel story was lovely! I really enjoy the way Sakurazawa manages to build complex character relationships in so little space. The slice of life feel is nice too, I would've loved to see more of Natsu and Eri but I also felt like it ended in the best possible place. I can't quite report the same for the rest of the volume. There's three thirty page short pieces none of which manage the same enjoyable quiet character writing the angel story does. The each have their moments – I was unhappy with the vast majority of God Only Knows but I did like it better once they were on the beach having fun together – but I could quite easily leave all of them. Still worth it for the angel story though. 3 stars

Unlike the previous work "Angel," "Angel Nest" deals with one main story involving the angel, with the rest being standalone fillers. Still Sakurazawa's art and style is a draw in itself in this work.

I did get into Angel Nest more so than Angel, probably because the stories were more varied and romantic. I wouldn't necessarily call it a sequel, though the same mute angel character appears in both. The art is equally neat, though a little unrefined (Sakurazawa's crazy watercolor vision).

The synopsis on the back of the book sounded a lot better than the actual stories. I like the art style. The stories themselves are calm and slow; not much happens.
