English Literature by Benjamin W. Griffith is a great tool to have for English literature majors. The book is small in size and in content. I would have loved a bigger book. It is missing a lot more content than I would like but it does its job. It is a small yet quick reference tool. Not a reference for all things in this subject but it works for a brief measure of the pieces of literature that I have studied. I like the organization and my copy arrived in perfect condition.

The main points on the topics are quite well presented. If you need just the quick overview of the information the book is perfect. However if you're looking for more detailed information the book won't be enough though it can point you in the right direction in your research.

Good overview of what I needed to know. Kinda surprised he didn't mention Aphra Behn, the first woman to be a paid full time English writer. I feel more prepared for my test because of this book.

I passed with my best score so far.

I read this just for a quick refresher, and also to give me ideas of classics that I have missed that I should read. I got a few ideas! Too many books, too little time.
