Written in an easy-to-read conversational style this book contains the keys to medical school academic survival, enabling students to manage their time and develop optimal study habits.
Required reading for school - some of the techniques in this book seem the be “no brain-ers” or already learned if you’ve made in this far in medical education, however there are good pearls in this book including note taking diagrams and techniques, study habits and ways to stay on track, ways to prevent personal burnout, and most importantly ways to combat anxiety around testing and studying.
Written in a casual but entertaining tone and approachable. Although many people skipped this reading, I found it helpful.
⭐️⭐️✨ (2.5) A required reading for school. Very primitive and basic for the duration. Stuff you probably already know/do considering you already got into PA school ya know. The only important part I took away was using charts and diagrams for notes.
This book should probably be marketed for pre medical students to help them develop better study habits. If you made it into medical school you probably have already developed many of the habits and techniques they recommend in this book. This was required reading for my program and while I felt much of it was pandering I did learn a handful of skills I plan to employ.
