Write That Down

Rate this book
Meet a handsome stranger the night before my wedding … check.
Jump into his car the next day in my wedding dress and tell him to drive … check.
Make him a deal he can’t refuse and then spend the next four weeks with him … check.

I know how it sounds, but honestly, becoming a runaway bride was the best decision of my life. Telling the man who drove the getaway car that I could help him accomplish his dream all while knowing the chances of that being true are slim, not a smart choice.

I can only blame myself for how things turned out. I thought it would be simple. I wasn’t going to see Graham Wright again once our four weeks were up. We’d just go back to our totally opposite lives. I live a life in the spotlight, and he keeps to himself. But the sweet, sexy man whose roof I’m living under makes me think and do things I’d never expected.

I definitely didn’t expect that first kiss to happen the way it did. Or for a simple checklist to turn into a summer I never want to end.

But if I don’t hold up my end of the deal soon, this same summer that’s changed my life will be one that Graham will want to forget.

Tropes in Write That Down include runaway bride, roommates, steamy slow burn, small town, and opposites attract.

Oh my gosh I loved this book. This was my first book in this series, but I am going to go back and binge the rest. The series is about a group of male romance authors that find their significant other. It made me laugh this many times the MMC told himself that this was real life, not a plot line in one of his books. The spice was nice and I fell I love with the whole group of friends. I can’t wait to read the rest!

Graham is stuck in a rut. He writes sweet romance for a living and every day follows basically the same schedule. He goes out of town for the weekend to help one of his writing buddies get engaged. While everyone else is out, he decides to break out of his rut. By crashing a wedding. Well, a reception at least. After spending the night with a woman that he didn’t know, he gets ready to leave. Only to have that woman throw herself in his car as he pulls away. In her wedding dress. The stranger is now a runaway bride absconding with him!

Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for the copy, all thoughts are my own.

I loved "The Runaway Bride" with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts and I couldn't wait to read this book.

Paige and Graham met a little bit before her wedding and instantly had a connection. She had some worries on her own and decided to run from her wedding day with Graham being her getaway guy. They bonded at first as friends, but deep inside they knew they already started developing feelings. The love aspect was definitely a slow burn, but in the end was definitely worth it. When they got together, I could see that they belonged to each other. I really loved all the steamy scenes. They were hot 🔥🔥🔥. What I liked in particular was even with some little bit of drama in the end, it was resolved pretty quickly and it only proved how deep they loved each other.

For me the story was really sweet and romantic and I enjoyed reading it.

Escape expectations
A famous runaway bride looking for fidelity, with a bucket list and a summer in secret.
A romance author with a schedule and a big heart making room for a stranger in his home and his life.
These two meet by chance and when she escapes from the wedding he becomes her getaway driver.
They help each other and over the time that she’s hiding out their connection gets deeper and romantic.
Hilarious at times, romantic and sweet, soft and swoony and eventually steamy.
Paige and Graham are a perfect pair and this was a fun and easy read with a cute HEA.

Thank you, Grey's Promotions, for sending me an advanced copy for review!

This was a cute and short read! I would say a good palette cleanser if you're in a slump. It follows Graham, a romance book writer, and Paige, a runaway bride socialite, and their whirlwind romance. I enjoyed reading about how Graham and Paige each come out of their shell while simultaneously getting to know each other and inevitably falling in love.

I think you'd get more invested in the characters and the story if you read the other books in the interconnected series, but I still thought it was decent without reading the first three books!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, and I'm willingly leaving an honest review.
This is the 4th book in the Lust or Bust series, and I loved Graham and Paige's heartwarming story.
A runaway bride looking for more than a cheating partner, Paige takes a chance and travels home with Graham. She starts a bucket list to get her life back on track the way she wants!!
Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters, and absolutely loved the HEA and the bonus epilogue.

Paige has been going along with what she has been told for her whole life. When she meets Graham, she has no idea that she is about to upend that stable life. Things happen that are very funny, and she ends up traveling with Graham and experiencing life like a regular person. They begin to fall in love, but both of them are afraid to confess to the other. Circumstances will have to change, but will Graham be able to change with them? Will Paige be strong enough to set her own rules?

Thank you Valentine PR and Jami Rogers for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was the cutest read. The plot was fun and adventurous, I even caught myself chuckling a few times.

Meet Paige, a famous girl who also happens to be a runaway bride. She’s at a hotel getting ready to marry her fiance, Vincent, when she meets Graham, a man she’s willing to risk it for the biscuit.

Graham, is an indie author and a self published writer. Little did he know he would be meeting a woman who had every intention of marrying her fiancé the next day, until he involuntarily became the getaway driver for the runaway bride! 😳

This cute little standalone rom-com book gives you all the vibes. Give this one a try if you’re interested in books/movies like…
-Runaway bride
-The Wedding Planner
-Maid in Manhattan 🫶

Tropes:
-Love at First Sight
-Small Town Romance
-Opposites Attract
-Runaway Bride, Celebrity
-Slow Burn
-Fling
-Dual POV

THIS IS A STANDALONE IN AN INTERCONNECTED SERIES!

This was a sweet and Spicy serendipity book.
Accidental happiness, that's what Graham and Paige were to each other.
Graham a closed door romance novel writer is constantly following a routine. It's his thing, but he will never find happiness like his friends if he doesn't break this routine and do something spontaneous. So he decides to go all in and crash a wedding party at the hotel he is staying at. This is where he meets Alice( only she is Paige really).
Paige is a daughter of billionaire and has to live upto the socialite standards, that's all she knows. Engaged to a cheating man because her parents want to mix business. When she met Graham she realised her life isn't hers and she doesn't know who she is.
When she sees and opportunity she runs away in her wedding gown and hijack Grahams car.
Graham is so pure hearted, caring and kind he helps her.
So she makes a deal, he helps her with her list of things to explore and she wi6getbhim a deal with her dad's publishing company when she goes back home.
I loved watching Paige grow into her own person and be real. I loved how Graham helped her make her wish come true all the while she stayed as hidden as possible.
Their chemistry sparked from the moment they met. She is inspiring him to write more steamy books because of all his feelings for her. They give in to their desires. Graham acts out all his Spicy scenes from his books. But there is an expiration date and love is growing between them. Then Graham reads her emails with her dad and everything blows up.
Read and see if their love wins or does he get a contract with his dream publishing company.
It was such a sweet story and I loved the band of brothers and her own friendship group with the other girls.
I will definitely be reading more from Jami Rodgers (I can't help but think if Jamie Dodgers has anything to do with this authors name) haha.

✔ Graham was such a sweetheart Hero.
✔ I loved how instantly Paige bonds with his circle.
✔ It was a quick read with tons of cuteness with spice.

👰Fun & flirty: bucket list or bust!🚗🎢

4.5🌟 stars
This story really took off when high-profile bride Paige's wedding day is abruptly cut short and Graham finds himself aiding and abetting her in her attempt to elude the media and discover what she really wants out of life.

Both MCs are engaging but Graham was my favorite. He quickly steps in and steps up to offer unconditional support to Paige's incognito adventure and expanding bucket list. Graham is a romance writer with a pretty strict writing schedule, but he makes space in his home, his social and professional life to cater to Paige's life crisis. And a heated romantic connection? Yes, it's there, especially in the latter half of the story.

I found their story entertaining, romantic and steamy. I also liked the way author Jami Rogers includes scenes like book signings and the author's creative process that harken back to what she knows as a romance writer.

I wish the book had taken Paige and Graham's story a bit forward into the future but the HEA was there in any case.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Jami is a new author to me, having only read one book of hers a few months back. As I enjoyed that book, I found this and thought I would give it a go. Boy, was I not disappointed, this book has been written brilliantly.
This sweet, dreamy story kept me glued to the pages all the way to the end! I found it to be quite emotional and heartwarming at times, which brought it to life, this adorable story is part of a series, so I purchased the previous three books and will start on them soon, I am also looking forward to reading more from Jami in the future.
I highly recommend this book to all, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed in it.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

This book made me laugh and totally got me caught up in whether Paige could stay under the radar and enjoy her time with Graham checking things off her newly written bucket list. This is a sweet and swoony slow burn romance that builds up to some steam and sizzle.

Graham is a fabulous book boyfriend - super sexy in a casual laidback way, sensitive and caring, and focused on making sure Paige is safe and able to adjust to running away from her wedding. He is meticulous about keeping his daily routine yet able to adjust when Paige enters his life and upends much of his routine solo life.

Paige might be a Forbes Princess, but she adapts pretty easily to life in a small town with Graham. I loved experiencing her becoming more self aware and discovering what makes her happy. The bucket list and road trips were great!

I enjoyed the writing group and how close and supportive the guys and their significant others were with each other. The shock and giddiness when they each discovered Graham’s secret roommate/new friend was hilarious. His sister’s reaction was also so much fun to read.

I received a free ARC from the author and Grey’s PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

Graham, along with his best friends, are all male romance writers . Slowly but surely all of Graham’s friends have been finding their true love but Graham is still living his boring same life . On a weekend getaway to help one of his best friends get engaged, Graham decides to be spontaneous . So spontaneous that he decides to go big with crashing a wedding . Everything was going perfectly fine until he ends up leaving with a runaway bride in his car .

Paige is starting to have second thoughts + doubts about her soon to be husband . All of those thoughts + doubts are only made worse went she meets the most incredible stranger .. right before she is supposed to walk down the aisle . Now Paige is a runaway bride, with the handsome stranger as her getaway drive + hideaway companion . Now all that is before is a summer of fun, a bucket list + a man she never saw coming .

Laugh out loud funny, swoon worthy, romantic and steamy towards the end .

This is the fourth book in the Lust or Bust series + it can be read as a complete stand alone .

This book was given to me for honest review by Grey’s Publishing .

Cozy, almost insta-love, quick read
🌶️ 1.5 spice. It’s mentioned but super quick, like too quick
He falls first

He’s a romance writer, she’s a socialite princess who does what she is told. What happens when these two collide in a chance encounter.

I thought this was an ok read. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t extremely memorable. The time jumps through me off a couple times, the transitions weren’t great, but the idea of the storyline was great. I enjoyed the author friend group as well. Such a close group of friends.

I personally thought the FMC is what made me not be able to raise it to 4 stars ⭐️. She was manipulative and the way she handled several situations was selfish and childish. The MMC was perfect. He came across so genuine, helpful, and caring.

If you want a quick HEA set in a small town, that doesn’t get too deep, then this could be a book for you.

This story was so much fun! It had me laughing out loud at moments and then swooning the next. I love a runaway bride story and I enjoyed this one so much!

Paige comes from a very wealthy family that had a lot of power. With that comes the expectation that she marries the “right” man. Graham is the definition of book boyfriend and I loved him right away! I loved catching up with his group of author friends and their significant others. They are so supportive and I love getting glimpses of them as the others find their happily ever afters.

I love the message of do what you want in your life and don’t live to fulfill the expectations of others. I personally have a bucket list and loved how it was added into this story.

Paige has always done what was expected of her and that included her marriage to a suitable man until she realizes that he and the marriage aren’t what she wants. Graham was there when she needed someone the most and became her escape partner as they embark on the adventure of her life.

Even though Graham has a rapidly approaching deadline for the romance novel he is writing he isn’t about to let Paige handle this on her own. He not only gives her the escape she needs but helps her enjoy all the experiences she has missed.

Fun and flirty I enjoyed seeing Paige, with the help of Graham, become the woman she was always meant to be and live the life she chose not the one that was being dictated to her.

This is the fourth book in this series, and this is Graham and Paige’s story.
Graham is a romance writer, which has a strict scheduled, and he and Paige meet unexpectedly the night before her wedding, and he is the getaway driver who aids her getaway in her wedding dress, and with his big heart, he opens his home up for Paige to stay with him.
This is a well written easy to read, slow burn, with opposites attract, runaway bride, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy, small town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

A 1940's era He Falls First Screwball Rom Com

This book swept me away with all the best Rom Com Moments! This was a great He Falls First romance that will remind you that sometimes spontaneity is really at the heart of romance. This book is filled with little glimpses of what makes love so magical and precious. From wedding crashing, to Run Away Brides, to suprise road trips and ad hoc Bucket Lists, you will find yourself smiling more than you thought a short romance could make you smile. Graham and Paige's story will make you so happy you spent a few hours with them, I know I read this book in two sittings and loved every minute

This is Book 4 in the Lust or Bust Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is an opposites attract romance between runaway bride Paige and indie author Graham. These characters are likeable, the connection strong, and the unique plot makes for an entertaining read. It is a slow burn love story filled with drama, passion, twists and turns, plus interesting secondary characters. An engaging page turner.

The sizzle between Paige and Graham is HOT! The night they first meet, I won’t spoil anything, but the elevator scene had me laughing and I will never forget it! From the start, these two had witty chemistry that kept me turning the pages fast. I love how Rogers sets up the scenes to reveal new things about the characters.
I have read all the books in this series and they keep getting better! I want to be part of this friend group! We got to see more of them and I am obsessed with the dynamics they have. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

This is a lighter romance I picked up from a Book Bub list for another read in between the heavier chapters of Onyx Storm. I kept reading because I genuinely was invested in Graham and Paige’s story. There are some editing errors as well as everything needing just a bit more polishing. All in all though not a bad read and I’ll definitely keep up with the series if I can.

Small note: I gave this 4 stars here because Goodreads doesn’t allow us to choose half stars, etc. on Fable I gave this 3.75. Just because the errors and extra polishing need tending to.

Loved the banter

Great banter went on with all the characters. Story flowed seamlessly. Well thought out. This is the first book in this series that I have read, and as it was so enjoyable will catch up on he others. It is great and inventive to centre the series around 4 male authors, and romance writers at that.

Smiled all the way through and laughed out loud often. Well worth a read.

This HEA story is the first I’ve read from the author and although it’s part of a series I had no problem reading it as a standalone.
The idea of a male romance author as the main character made for an interesting premise and Graham and Paige interacted well and made for great reading. My issue though, was the situation and the agreement between them which I found manipulative, self-serving and just gave me an ick that I couldn’t shake.

A great read, the story of Graham and Paige. They have a moment, and then meet again when she is fleeing her wedding. They end up spending lots of tie together as he helps her with her bucket list, but he wants a favour from her too. I liked both characters and that it is told from both points of view. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

gorgeous story

Hot single reclusive writer and a socialite, the story begins, and it may have a small hiccup near the end but hard to believe that after a month guess who are both head over heels/heart and even if her brother is onboard her dad is a bit more harder to reason with but not for reasons that may be thought of at the beginning.

I’m still not sure whether I liked this book a lot or not.

My biggest problem was with the name of the guy - Graham.
That was probably my biggest turn off. It’s such an old fashioned name that didn’t sound like a hot hero.

What an adorable opposites attract tale. After a chance meeting where they both crash a wedding, things just seem to click. Add in a runaway bride and a bucket list, presto … adventure! Have I said these two are adorable? Well written and entertaining!

DELIGHTFUL!

I smiled all the way through this book. The characters in this series are different from other romance novels. The series will focus on one of a group of male romance writers. They are all manly men. This first is full of surprises.
