We were promised cats, and there were no cats inside the book - only on the cover. I did like looking at the other babies, though!

We missed story time today, so we read a couple books on our own. This book was pretty good. I liked how it coupled the pictures of babies and animals. That really helped to show the size of the animals. Natalie responded more to the pictures of the babies, especailly the baby paired with the small dog. I would have liked a longer book with more animals, maybe a cat or kitten somewhere other than the cover or a lizard or turtle.

My daughter is obsessed with animals, and I thought this would be the perfect book for her since it had a kitty on the cover (and she loves kitties), but there is no kitty in the book, just on the cover. Why do they have pages devoted to guinea pigs and goldfish?
