Blood Vow #4
Vampire's Heart
Rook and Cordelia have been summoned to the vampire court, but can they survive once they’re there?
Rook did something expressly forbidden by turning Cordelia into a vampire, now they have to answer to the King and Queen of the Vampire Court. As though that wasn’t enough there’s the Blood Vow that Cordelia has to swear to Rook and the King has demanded that they do something called the Trial of Blood, which has the whole court tittering with excitement.
The King has given Cordelia one month to learn the ropes before the Trial of Blood. She has to prove to the King and Queen that she understands how to live at court as well as live as a vampire in general. She and Rook both have to prove that they are true mates or face execution for breaking the taboo of turning a human without the court’s permission. No pressure…it’s just their immortal lives at stake.

From the very first book I loved this series and world. The author really put an original spin on the more traditional vampire stories and has been slowly building up towards this moment: Cordelia and Rook travel to the Court. We've heard some whispers about the Court before, but in this book we finally get to see it and it's everything I had hoped it would be and more. I have to admit that the pacing of the book feels a little slow and then all of a sudden there is this huge rush in the end. I also feel like there are a few loose ends, especially concerning the complicated relationship. However, I especially really loved Cordelia's strength. And even though it's being tested in this book, it's clear she's ready to fight for her love.

A HEA
This is the fourth and final book of the series. There is so much going on in this book, they are summoned to the Vampire court due to Rook turning Cordelia without permission. Cordelia has to learn how to be a vampire and the rules of the court and she has to pass the Trial of Blood in order for her to survive. I feel sorry for Cordelia throughout this book there is so much she has to deal with.
Rook had a lot of jealousy through this book, but he eventually accepted Cross and Ash.
I do feel like even though there was a happy ever after ending it was rushed.
However it was still a great read.

Cordelia, Rook, Cross and Ash get their HEA in this fourth and final book in the Blood Vow series. It is pack with action, suspense and drama. Cordelia has grown so much and this book really shows it. This is a fantastic series that I highly recommend.

This is book 4 and the final book in the series, you do need to have read the other books previously.
Cordelia has come so far since book 1. Her relationship with Rook may be confirmed, but there are so many other things going on. This book is all about the Vampire Court, she has to learn all the rules and traditions, along with watching her back.
Rook's devotion to Cordie is not in question, but we also have Cross and Ash in the picture, both having a connection with her too. I love how it wasn't all straightforward and there was some push and pull with the relationship dynamics. I am disappointed that there was no clear solution as to how all 4 of them stayed together, it was going to be discussed but it felt forgotten by the end of the book.
The build-up to the ending kind of confused me, I'm not sure how it happened that way, not after all the precautions in place. It felt super rushed compared to how slow-paced the rest of the book was.
I enjoyed the book as a whole, Cordie, Rook, Cross and Ash get the ending they deserve, but I felt like there were a few parts that were glossed over that I felt should have gone into more detail.

What a great ending to this series. Rook and Cordelia travel to the campire kingdom to explain why he changed her without permission. Things are not as simple as they hoped and now they are forced to go through a trial that could kill them both if they fail.
Cordelia is such a amazing and strong FMC who isnt afraid to go after what she wants. I love how their relationship grows and expands in this book. Lots so super steamy scences and some great surprises in this book. I'm going to miss these characters.

Vampire's Heart
I have loved this world from the beginning, this is the final one and the test for Cordial. I enjoyed it but I still have some things I am not sure about. Maybe it's just me. Loved and disliked the court, everything that had happened to them seemed like child's play. Overall I really enjoy this world

Final book in the series. This series does come to a satisfying conclusion. However at times it was confusing and felt rushed. Overall the story ended with a HEA. The characters had a great relationship and personal growth throughout the series.

Vampires Heart is the 4th and last book in The Blood Vow series and it definitely went out with a bang! All things came to a head in this book with Cordelia (FMC) coming into her own with her place as a new Vampire and her powers awakening. All the complications that that brought as well as the King & Queen causing problems too. It was a great ending and tied up all of the loose ends perfectly.

Ok, what the fuck? And it is not a good what the fuck. I'm seriously confused right now... ?
I was having a lot of fun at the beginning. None of the books in this series have been masterpieces, not even close, but all them have been entertaining, so I had a few low expectations and all of them were being met but then... I don't know, the second half sucked? And it sucked big time.
The story dragged on, there was very little emotion, things kind of just happened, and everything felt pretty underwhelming. .
I feel like there was a lot of untapped potential. The story could've followed a thousand different roads that would've been way more interesting than what we ended up with, so color me deeply disappointed.
And if it weren't for the first half, that was actually fun (though still lowkey underwhelming and underdeveloped), I would've rated this book one star instead of two.

The Blood Vow series concludes with Helen Scott's fourth book in the series, Vampire's Heart. Mate bonds, Vampire court, hot guys, and magic, need I say more.
Cordelia is a vampire, I know right. She's taken to it very well. Of course has strong instincts but she's still herself. Cordie is still grieving her grandmother and on top of that she has to deal with the drama of court and basically entering her whole new world. Turns out Cordie is stronger than anyone knew. She faces every challenge head-on and is determined to survive her deadly new world.
I don't think I've ever seen a harem quite like this. This is the final book and the harem has just now come together, albeit reluctantly. The guys have known each other for a very long time but they are having trouble sharing. I'm on the fence about it after a key fact was revealed, I don't like the situation Rook is put in. However, Rook and Cordie I'd blatantly in love with each other. All those tender moments between them in the previous books that I enjoyed so much got magnified in this one and I loved it. Cross has expressed his feelings and is all in with Cordie. I loved that we got more chapters from the guys especially cause I get insight into Ash and his deep feelings for Cordie. The guys all love her and care about each other, they just need to work out the kinks.
Court was interesting. The opulence was everywhere and the whole place had a Gothic feel, and it was dangerous as Hell. The games, manipulation, and attacks were plenty. There was even a trial that Cordie and Rook had to pass. King Hugh, Rook's rival finally made an appearance and honestly, he was a bit confusing. I didn't trust him but he's not the pure evil I thought he would be. The rest of the people were kinda snotty until they had a reason not to be, so no big surprise there. The plot was kind of smooth sailing with just a couple of reveals that changed everything for Cordelia. I was wondering how the story was gonna wrap up but I didn't expect this. The ending was fast, things happened really quick, there was a confrontation, a fight broke out, and things happened.
Vampire's Heart was a good ending to the series. There were a few things left unsaid but other than that, I'm good. I enjoyed seeing Cordie with her guys more and finally getting a look at Vampire Court. I'm glad Cordie and her guys got an HEA. Now that their story is over I wonder what Helen is gonna take on next.

All Good Things Come to an End
Rook and Cordelia finally get their well deserved HEA. Cordelia had to deal with so much in this series. All she ever wanted to do was make enough money to help her grandma and to finish college. After taking the advice of her friend she decided to become a feeder for vampires to gain extra cash. She never thought she would be selected my wealthy Vampire Prince to see his sole feeder. From that moment on Cordelia's life was forever changed.
Cordelia and Rook's relationship within this series went far beyond Feeder and Vampire. Something beyond blood drew Rook to Cordelia and from the moment they met he vowed to keep her safe.
So many ups and downs. Cordelia's life has been in danger ever since. So when her life was ended by Vampire Hunters, Rook, Cross and Ash did what was necessary to save Cordelia. Now a newly created vampire; Rook has been summoned by the Vampire Courts to explain his actions.
Cordelia and Rook had each other's back every step of the way. Cross and Ash; Rook's trusted friends and advisors also loved Cordelia and would do anything to keep her safe. This story dealt with the changes Cordelia had to endure as a baby Vamp, dealing with the loss of her grandmother, being mates to Rook but also sharing a bond with Cross and Ash and Rook who was once exiled being welcomed home and eventually taking his rightful place as King.
Overall this was a good series. Some laughs, Action, Betrayal, Danger and A LOT of SPICE. I was pleasantly pleased to see Cordelia and her guys get their HEA

The fourth and final installment in the Blood Vow series is here and gives readers the happily-ever-after each character deserved (albeit a very rushed ending). Cordelia, Rook, Cross, and Ash arrive at the Vampire Court — the bond between Cordie and Rook is tested, there is conflict amongst the foursome relationship wise, and it’s revealed that Cordie is more powerful than anyone could have expected.
The last part of the book felt very rushed. It was late in the book by the time Ash admitted his connection with Cordie, so we didn’t get any emotional bonding between them (like we did with Rook & Cross in previous books). Did we ever find out who attacked Rook in the palace (the king was adamant it wasn’t him)? After everything the king put Cordie and Rook through with the trials — they just casually sat in a bedroom and Cordie felt compelled to help him? The queen was truly awful to both Rook and Cordie but she considered helping ensure she could conceive and delivery a healthy baby? What made Rook suddenly okay with sharing Cordie after all the meltdowns he had over it? So many questions.
Don’t get me wrong - this was a great series ender. I was just surprised at how fast everything was tied up and thought for sure there would have been a 5th book!
Tropes: Vampire romance, paranormal romance, age-gap, MFM | MMFM, reverse harem
Heat: 5/5

That is the worst why choose book I have ever read. It doesn’t work AT ALL. FMC just comes off as a horny bitch who doesn't care about her mate. He is super possessive but has to be ok with sharing her because "she feels a connection" and "it is what she wants".
It was like reading those poly forums where one person struggles with sharing their partner and is told to "work on their jealousy"...it’s ok to feel jealous when your FATED MATE wants to bang other guys and doesn’t care about your opinion AT ALL! Polygamy is not for everyone and here, it feels forced and selfish and it is completely useless to the story as well. For once, I thinks it even does a disservice to the story (which is wild coming from me. I usually loooove why choose romance)
I disliked every characters (except for Ash but maybe it’s because we don’t read that much about him)
I also hated the way the author killed the king, as it was such a lazy way to make the problem disappear...
The ending of the story was super lazy as well but since there wasn’t really a strong plot to begin with, it feels like the authors was just bored of writing and half-assed it.
TBH I only finished it because I was 4 books in and had nothing else to read at the doctor’s.

So sad that this is the final book in this amazing series. I have loved this world from the get go. Still Rook and Cordelia finally got their well deserved HEA. My only problem was I don't think I've ever read about a harem quite like there. They came together at the end and it was strange to say the least. Guys have known each for a very long time and have some kind of friendships but had trouble sharing. At least we got more chapters from the guys thou which I loved. Especially because we got insight into Ash and his deep feelings for Cordie. We all know the guys love and care deeply for Cordie and of course each other, they just needed to resolve their issues and work it out. Court was definitely interesting!! But you would definitely have to read about it to find out what I'm talking about. Overall it was a great finale even though things still felt kinda rush and everything was tied up quickly I thought for sure we would've A 5th book but oh well. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received. The opinions I have expressed are completely my own.

Vampire's Heart is the fourth and final book in this series. Yes, final. Color me surprised.
Cordelia has been through a lot. And I mean a. Lot. She started off in the beginning wanting to help her grandmother with her medical care. So, she does the one thing that guarantees quick and good money. Becomes a feeder. Well, that sets a chain of events into motion and fast-forward to the here and now. She's been changed into a vamp. Her grandmother? Sadly, no longer of this world. But let's double down with being summoned by the big scary vamps to appear. And roll tape! But wait! Let's address the fact that while she's mates with Rook, there are now two more guys in the picture. Sounds promising right?
Well, that's where the story goes off the rails. It get rushed! This series could have used an additional book to really round it all out. There was more to tell and it feels like readers get the short end on this one. I'm honestly disappointed. More should have been dedicated to the change in dynamics instead of time skips/jumps to finish off the series in a whirlwind rush.
Could have been great. As is - 4 out of 5 stars

I first want to start with saying that i loved the 3 first books in this series and that I absolutely love the story of Rook and Cordelia. And Helen you are one of my absolute favorite authors. And i do recommend this book like i have done on all the others, but.. i wish there were more.
I’m sitting with so many questions that i want answers to, and at some parts i felt like the story kinda got rushed. But for the rushed part it’s just because im not ready to let this series go.
And what if im still sitting with questions and i kinda wish we got answers to some things, it didn’t pull the book to much down for me since i can use my own imagination to find them or maybe there is a chance in the far away future where Helen misses Rook and Cordelia and she brings them back for a new book (that is my secret hope) even if i know this was the last one.
And the best part of the book is all the different POV, we get to see the book from so many angles and get to know what each character feel and that for me was a big plus, oh and ofc we cant forget the steam😉
⭐️:4 🌶:3.5

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "VAMPIRE'S HEART
WOW!!! I was hooked from the start this was extremely well written conclusion to this excellent series, full of intrigue, suspense, danger, angst, magic, steamy scenes, emotional turmoil, a few twists & surprises to keep you turning the pages.
Rook is a Prince & rightfully heir to the throne, when Cordie & he are summoned to the Vampire Court he worries how they'll treat her as she's a newly turned Vampire & his Bood Heart, something that's forbidden.
Cordy now has a reverse harem with Cross, Ash & Rook something he's had a hard coming to terms with but he wants her happy so he does his best to accept it.
I definitely recommend to get this fantastic conclusion the King demands something they call Trial of Blood Cordie has to swear a Blood Vow to Rook he's gives her a month to prepare, will everything work out, the dangers in the castle have you on edge, will they get their HEA, its a must read you absolutely can't miss, loved the characters sad it's over.
EXCELLENT DARK TWISTED CONCLUSION I LOVED THIS SERIES 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Helen Scott is an amazing writer. Her stories are always well written and developed. She pulls you into a world where we journey alongside the amazing characters that she has created with these characters becoming like family or friends. This story/series with Cordelia and Rook was amazing. It has so many twists and turns throughout the entire series. This book seemed a little slower compared to the rest but yet was no less intriguing and extremely enjoyable. Cordelia is growing throughout the series and we finally see her coming into her own throughout this book. We see the relationships growing and developing more. The story definitely drew me in and didn’t let go. I loved the ending and was a little sad to see that it was the end for these amazing characters. The journey we took with Rook, Cross, Ash, and Cordelia will have you on the edge of your seat. This story is jammed packed with drama, suspense, and action. It is of course extremely well written and developed. This is definitely a must read and does not disappoint.

interesting twist
We pick up where we left off, so if it has been a bit you should definitely binge read the rest of the series before starting this one. I actually didn’t realize this was the finale book in the series as I don’t read blurbs lol even 70% into the book I didn’t think it could possible end with this book. We get things resolving and a wonderful twist, but then it’s like the book was on fast forward from around 80% to the end. Lots of time jumps where we are told what has happened in that passage of time and by the end of the book for the epic finale showdown I did not feel the primary characters had had enough time to complete their story and some of the secondary characters I had just met and thought of as villains were acting out of character for how it seemed they would be at the point without explanation. I hated to say goodbye to this series and wish there had been one more book not only to get the extra time reading the characters and their story, but also to give time for the story.

The last book in the series brings Rook and Cordie to the vampire court, letting them face a string of hard challenges. Saying that the king and queen did not take the decision to turn Cordie into a vampire without permission kindly is a severe understatement. Not only has she to be presented to court, but is also expected to prove she is able to fit into the vampire world, has all the necessary knowledge, and can prove her love for Rook in the Trial of Blood.. sure, no pressure, even if all has to be achieved in a month.. right?
Although the book started a little slowly to my liking, it gradually increased its pacing towards the very rapidly developing end. The bond between Rook and Cordie is tested constantly but proves strong, and both show in the book the nature of their feelings and their characters.. and so do Cross and Ash. I enjoyed all the drama in the book, got answers to some of my questions (most of them), and closed the book fulfilled enough with the ending. A solid RH PNR series with a little different spin on the vampire world, which I really enjoyed in this case.

We have come to the end of the series. It’s bittersweet. I’m excited to see the what happens but hate when it has to end.
It was fun watching the transitions on Cordy from human to vampire and how she reacted. We also so this series slowly transition from a MF romance into a RH as her relationships with Rook, Cross and Ash slowly developed. Poor Rook took it so hard when he realized she wanted to try and build more with the two since she is his blood heart but he is so willing to see her happy that he works to try and be more accepting. Oh and I also loved getting to see more of the vampire court and seeing a different perspective on this world instead of just seeing it from the human side. I’m the end it was just perfect to see them all get their HEA after everything they had been through.I think it was a great series and would recommend it for anyone looking for a great vampire romance with a slow build on a RH.

I have some mixed thoughts on this book. On one hand, I think Cordie got the ending she deserved after everything she's been through. She fought a ton of obstacles and found love and her place in the world. She survived multiple traumas with grace and tackled grief in an admirable way.
I think this last book was just a bit rushed. It felt like there were too many new revelations and we never really got to see her deal with them emotionally. They happened, she admitted being overwhelmed, and that was it. I would've liked to dive into it more. I also feel like her feelings for Ash were very confusing. He made her very uncomfortable in one chapter, but then drew her in like Cross in another. I wish we also would've really seen Rook decide how he felt about that whole situation and commit to being okay with it or rejecting it. It felt like we were in limbo about that for the entire book with no resolution.

I have enjoyed this series from the very first book and this book is a great addition. I have really grown to like Cordelia and Rook, watching their relationship develop throughout the series as well as their individual growth has been so fun. The series is thick with drama, spice and adventure, these two never have a dull moment and they really take you for an emotional whirlwind! While we know that Rook and Cordelia are a thing, Ash and Cross also have a place in Cordelia’s heart and that isn't alway easy for certain characters to handle. With relationship blips and the vampire court breathing down their necks, this book has all it all, the spice, the drama, the anxiety and action! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this book. It has a solid, thick plot, well developed characters and fantastic world building. I thought it flowed nicely and was written well, overall I highly recommend this series!

Helen Scott knocked it out if the park with Vampire's Heart, the final installment of her Blood Vow series and while I’m sad to have to say goodbye to Cordelia, Rook, Cross and Ash I’m so happy they’re getting the ending they’ve fought so hard for! Helen is a genius at delivering a captivating plot with lots of secret revelations and devious plot twists and this one was definitely on par!
Picking up right where the last one left us, Cordelia is once again having to embark on a crazy life twist but man did she handle her business! I loved the character growth in this one and especially loved watching Rook have to learn how to share his mate because that boy is fiercely protective of his girl lol
Overall if you love a good why choose paranormal romance full of nonstop action, endless drama and twists and turns and of course lots of hot and steamy connection then this is the one for you!

Bad ending for a decent series…
This series could have done with another book. It’s too rushed 85% to the end. The fact that her “soul mate” didn’t want to share her and she pushed the idea was off putting. I LOVE a good RH and this didn’t give those vibes. We had no relationship between the other men and her. It was all supposedly s€xual and one of the guys couldn’t even admit he was in love with her. It didn’t make sense at all. She should have either stayed with Rook alone or ACTUALLY had a relationship with the other 2 men as well. So many plot holes and things unanswered but the end. It feels like the author forgot the plot and then when she remembered it she threw it in the mix at the end. It feels like this book had a big deadline and she wrote this within a few days with no actual thought to it. Her powers? Useless. Her having a soulmate? Useless. The first 3 books? Useless. So disappointed in this ending.

Helen Scott is back with another absolutely amazing installment to her Blood Vow Series) a series that is very quickly becoming one of my very favorites) and this is coming from someone who typically does not read much paranormal romance. But of course anyone by Helen truly is the exception
What a finale this is . So many questions are finally answered, so many challenges are still on the horizon for Cordie and her guys . Vampires , fated mates , twists and turns, oh so steamy moments, obstacles, intrigue and surprises, drama , family and friendships , and so much more . I honestly cannot not remember the last book that had me feeling so many different ways at once - everything from utterly speechless, to yelling out of frustration, to crying like a baby to rooting so freaking hard . Vampires Heart is pure perfection, a 10/10

Cordelia is finally a vampire and has been summoned to appear before the vampire court. Her troubles are far from over as she tries to maneuver vampire politics and survive in one piece.
At least around halfway through the book she decides that she doesn't want to be a complete damsel. Which is good because Rook has continued to remain underwhelming for me this entire series. He has remained consistent with barely being able to protect himself let alone Cordie and is now being insecure and throwing tantrums about her connections to Cross and Ash.
Cross continues to be second fiddle and my favorite. Poor Ash reminds me of an old man lol, Still more likeable than Rook to me. The ending felt like it wrapped up almost too quickly, but some parts of the book were pretty slow moving so I'm glad the series was not dragged out for another book.

*very slow building harem (3)

Interesting Ending
So I liked this book for its different take on Cordelias magic and what this meant for the vampires I thought that was really unique and added a different dimension to this story. I also liked the representation of the jealousy and negative emotions amongst the harem members this felt realistic! However I really struggled with Cordys clear outlining of Rook as being her chosen one and the main member of her harem, I get there is often a leader, but she essentially says she would walk away from Ash and Cross as he’s her main lover - I don’t feel this fits the true reverse harem vibe for me personally. Also found this very slow with everything seeming to happen in the last 10%.
Mixed feelings about this last book.
