I never thought I’d end up as a male stripper, but sometimes life throws you unexpected curveballs. And that’s how I find myself twirling around a pole at Club Exotic, entertaining a bunch of rowdy women.

The story was a delicious combination of a poetic, exquise writing and hot-blushing smut scenes. It was relatively a quick and fast passed read but without contest an enjoyable one. I love when a novella can translate more about the relationship and main characters’ bond then an imbued with passion sex or a mutual attraction in only a few pages. Therefore, I enjoyed the fact that the protagonists’ relationship has more depth and wasn’t caricatured through the book as shallow because the storytelling painted their beautiful connection effortlessly. So now place at what we got :

OMGGGGG THIS NOVELLAAAA DKSMDBSK
THIS WAS SO SO GOOD 🤌🤌🤌
This is the third work that i read by this author and i can't believe how much she has improved already!!!! The writing is so much better than her two previous works, describing everything so intensely that made me feel everything emotionally and physically!!!

---3 'corrupted' ☆---
“You’re as sweet as honey, so innocent but ready to be corrupted,”
This would be an easy four stars if only the writing wasn't so dragged out. Like the sentences were unnecessarily long and while I get that it was done to keep the readers immersed and kept into the story and have their focus but for me personally l was zoning out and skimming a lot.
The plot was really nice and fast paced. l liked the way both the main characters had their own ✨different✨ backstories and personalities and still tries making it work.
There were so many different tropes all mixed in less than 100 pages and it felt so different and refreshing and also this was dual pov!! (I don't know why but for me dual povs in books are always better!!)
All in all this was a really good short novella that will keep you entertained and has some really good (and jucy) moments.
So would l recommend you read it? Yes. I mean with all of Laura's books even this one is really short so if you don't like it, it won't do any harm. And again it's a smut filled novella with a lot of tropes so how bad could it be to give it a shot?

I received an e-ARC from the author but this is my honest review. Thanks for the arc!
This is a Novella between a male stripper and a virgin woman that wants to learn to do a bj bc her bf cheated on her with bff (h and Om never even kissed but they were dating and h had a crush on him). Both in their early twenties. No ow drama, a tiny bit of OM drama from h’s ex bf but she doesn’t want something with him. Also, some random guy asked to married her and technically she has the ring so she said yes? I don’t know that part was very rush and I didn’t get it. I will say no others after meeting. H continues to do his job but we don’t see that and I don’t think he was with others.
For being a novella it wasn’t very focused on the sex. I mean obv there are sex on the Novella but they also developed some kind of friendship and connection. There’s also some depth in them which I liked bc normally in this type of books they only focus on one thing. Nothing wrong with that. This is more a short story with sex on it than an erotica novella imo. I really enjoyed it bc again there was a story and some depth to it so you can feel the connection between them.

firstly thank you to the author for sending me an earc of this in exchange for an honest review.
happy release day to this! this one was VERY different than the normal stuff I read. It’s a short VERY SPICY novella type book that can be read in a few hours depending on your reading speed by anyway this one was very short and spicy. It kept me interested the whole time and I honestly wish this one like the actual length of a book. This one was great to get me out of my book slump and the scenes in this book 🫣😮💨🌶️. anyways it was the perfect thing for me to read at the moment and got me out of my book slump, really enjoyed. this had me giggling, blushing and kicking my feet at some scenes. check trigger warnings/authors note from reading!

this book was so sweet and short, and i can definitely see the improvements from guard you to corrupt you. first just wanna say how much i appreciate this opportunity to read laura's books, they are absolutely wonderful and i'd 100% recommend them to anyone who's interested in steamy, short, SO SWEET, and cute romance <3
while this book mainly consisted of smut, it had a completely different feel from guard you's feverish mood. i love the character's and their backstory and the chemistry is so random that it seems perfect.
the tropes are a perfect mix and this was honestly such a satisfying read.
do note that since this book is pretty short, the chapters seem to jump everywhere but it's not a huge problem in a book like this.

this novella didn’t know what it wanted to do. it went from being a stripper teaching pleasure to randomly being a student/teacher romance, then her having a really controlling stepmom who forced her to get engaged??? i don’t even know it was all over the place and he was being so forceful to her in the beginning, i did not enjoy him whatsoever.

Firstly, thank you so much to Laura for the ARC copy of this book.
This is the first short story/novella I have read, so I started a little apprehensive. However, this story had me hooked from the start!
The plot is spicy, juicy, and engaging, making it very enjoyable to read. I feel some sexy scences in books can feel hard for the reader to engage with and properly read it rather than just skim over. But Laura really has really nailed it here.
I also love the way the book provides both characters' points of view (I do love multiple narratives).
I did find myself wanting to know more, but as I said at the start, this is my first short story, so it's probably something I need to get used to! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Corrupt You, and I'm looking forward to reading more of Laura's work.

This was quick spicy novella, I love how it’s a dual POV I love reading from both perspectives. I loved how fact paced this novella was, It had me hooked from the start. There’s so many different tropes in this novella and also it’s under a 100 pages it’s such a short easy read. Also the spicy scenes are very details so if that isn’t something you enjoy this wouldn’t be for you. The chemistry between the couple THE TENSION omg I loved it.
I love Maria’s character development how she goes from this shy reserved girl to this strong confident women it was lovely to read.
“That’s the spirit, sweetheart,” he says, his voice brimming with encouragement.
I also love Camilo and how he is head over heels for Maria from the moment he sets eyes on her. The way he brings her chocolate because he knows she loves it, had me kicking my feet and giggling. 🫶

I'd like to thank Laura for giving me an opportunity to read this book.
"Corrupt You" is a sweet and fast-paced novella that tells the story of Camilo and Maria.
I loved Camilo!! He is charming and his habit of keeping chocolates for Maria endearing, and something I want in my man. Also, the fact that he was so smitten with her from day one that he was willing to risk everything for her? Only Fictional Characters.
I also loved Maria's character development. How she became a strong character who faces everything life throws at her, coming out even stronger with Camilo's help. Chefs kiss.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and heartwarming read... and also smut.
Don't forget the smut. It is steamy!!

What a cracking little novella, but beware because it is a nice short read it was a fast moving story, as the Author states “don’t go leaving a grumpy review because the plot jumps around like a caffeinated kangaroo.”
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, I loved Camilo and Maria, I’m glad they got their HEA but as you will see it’s not a 5 star, why? I honestly don’t know, there was something missing but I’m unsure what. Is it because it’s only 68pages so I didn’t form a true connection to the characters? possibly. Is it because it felt a bit rushed in places? possibly.. All I can say is that it’s full on from start to finish, with a few unexpected surprises and the spice was great.

This is exactly what you'd expect from a super quick read novella or short story; not a ton of story & character development but enough to keep you in it as a reader. You get plenty of spicy and sweet in just under 70 pages and it's enough to make you wish you'd had another 70 pages to read about Maria & Camilo.
Tropes: V!rigin FMC, Teacher/Student, Forced Proximity
⭐- 3.5. The story had a lot of potential and there was enough plot to keep it interesting and made me wish it was just a little longer so some of the gaps in the story could be filled in.

First up, I was definitely not the intended audience for this book so I'm not going to talk about the specifics of bodice-rippers that didn't appeal to me.
One of the things I struggled with was that the entire novella was written in purple prose from the POV of an ex-piercer stripper psychology TA. I kept questioning what kind of guy would say things like "a fleeting touch that ignites a cascade of shivers down my spine" or "an ethereal vision that disrupts the very fabric of my resolve" and I had to keep putting my kindle down and steeling myself to keep reading. Actually, this could be a bodice-ripper thing. I don't actually know. I don't usually read this genre.
Maria, the love interest, was hot and cold-- virgin shy and then snappy and then back again. Her personality changes gave me whiplash every other scene and made her character seem inconsistent. I think this could've been melded together better if the novella had been longer but, eh, it's a novella so words are limited. Also, one of the tropes I was most looking forward to-- the forced marriage-- was literally brought up and then never mentioned again. What? Where was the conflict and resolution there?? I was very disappointed as it was one of the things I'd been forward to reading.
I think the point at which I completely lost it was when Camilo gave Maria her nipple piercing and her soul basically transcended her body as she experienced a nipple orgasm. I think Camilo should be my next piercer because clearly my piercers have been doing it wrong.
Anyway, great story but definitely for another audience. 3/5 stars because I was definitely entertained.

This was quick spicy novella, telling the love story of Maria and Camilo🤩💘.
I like it when authors do a dual POV I like reading from both perspectives. 😁
I liked how fast paced this book was, It had me hooked from the start. 😊
There’s so many different tropes in this novella and also it’s under a 100 pages it’s such a short easy read.📚
Also the spicy scenes are very 🥵🥵 The chemistry between them and sparks of lighting 🌶️🌶️hot tamale 🥵
I like Maria’s character as she becomes stronger and not that shy girl anymore and turns into a strong ass women💪🏼
I also like Camilo and how he is head over heels for Maria from the moment he sets eyes on her. The way he brings her chocolate, he treasures her. ❤️

This was quick novella read.
I really enjoyed the progress of the novella, it did move a little fast, but for novella it didn’t feel rushed. The beginning I would say is the only part that seemed to go fast, but the rest keep a decent pace.
Camilo and Maria were so different and at different points in their life, but they had the connection. Camilo was my favorite character right from the start, the way he just felt and described Maria from the moment he saw her was just too cute. Maria was a bit bratty in the beginning, but once the story plays out you get abetted understanding of her situation.
I would have loved it if this was a bit longer because they were just a great couple; also it would have been hilarious to see the Miles’ (Maria’s awful ex-boyfriend) scene mentioned at the end played out for us. Also, an epilogue because I just want to see how their future unfolded.
Also, what happened to Sally, her stepmother?

Firstly I wanted to say thank you so much to the author for providing me with this beautiful arc in exchange for my honest review!
This was such a fast paced read that immediately got me hooked in and boy did the smut deliver!🌶️ I enjoyed the interactions between the two characters and although it was a short novella I really enjoyed seeing the two of them interact together. The writing was also really well done!! This is a perfect quick read for when you need a little spice in your day!
Definitely go pick this up!

This novella is certainly the cutest thing ever! And also not so cute during the sex scenes but you get me :D I love how relatable the characters were and the way Laura so beautifully described the chemistry and connection between them. Really nice play on words! Sure, the descriptions were a little too long in some instances but for me personally, it wasn't an issue because the way Laura does wording is superb (maybe I enjoyed it so much as I'm a writer myself haha).
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a fast-paced short romance read packed with well-written smut and deep and profound connection that formed under very unexpected circumstances.

just wanted to thank the author Laura Golightly for the ARC of her book!! 🥰
this was my first book of hers and it was such a fast read with lots of spice!! i will say the beginning in chapter 1 did introduce a lot that i didn’t expect to be all in chapter 1. but it is a short book sooo it makes sense as to why there are lots of details in all the chapters! i just wasn’t expecting it. As time went on the connection with Maria and Camilo was super sweet and i really liked them. i am so happy we got to see them reconnecting and how they were together. But also got to see and understand alittle bit of their backstories. But also!!! the epilogue!!!! just the perfect ending 🥹

This author just gets better with each book. This was a short and steamy teacher student forbidden romance. I read this book in about 1.5 hours and loved every minute of it! Both of these characters were perfect with the bad boy good girl trope. I love Maria and Camilo and their instant attraction. This book showed me tropes I had never read before but are now obsessed with. This is a perfect quick read when you want steamy and to the point. No need for those slow burn drawn out stories. Cannot wait to read more from the author!

Corrupt You by Laura Golightly is book two of the You series. This is a short and spicy Novella that was an addicting read. I loved every second reading about Maria and Camilo’s story. This might be a small book but it packs one heck of a punch! I was honestly sad when I reached the end of this short story. I wanted to read so much more of them! (Not a critique just an honest wish) The novella was very well written and the flow was great! If you’re looking for a short, spicy, page-turning read then look no further! Fantastic!!

I think if fleshed out a little more and some extra editing the story definitely has potential. I would have loved if the POV started of with Maria first then Camilo to give us better introduction to Maria and her situation.
With the tone of language I found it a bit inconsistent, going from formal to casual. Otherwise again with a little bit more fleshing out the Story definitely has some potential there and would have a better balance of plot and smut.

First, I want to thank Laura for an ARC of this book!
This was a short, sweet, smutty novella! I loved it! I really enjoy the dual POV. It slightly touches on the characters’ backgrounds and then delves into their lives together.
It is very descriptive and most of the sentences are too drawn out. I feel like they could have been shortened and been just fine. But, it was still a good read.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a short, smutty book to read!

i’m giving this book a 3 stars just because i wanted it to be bigger. if everything that happened were described in a slower way, i would’ve loved it even more, but this is a novela so i get it! beautiful story, lovely characters, the $mut is definitely there. i wanted to know more about camilo's past and life.
