About the author

Pati Palmer is driving force behind the Palmer/Pletsch craft publishing company, of dozens of sewing books and how-to DVD’s and creator of eight Palmer/Pletsch sewing notion products, including PerfectFuse™ Interfacings. . Palmer has been designing for The McCall Pattern Co. since 1980, and Vogue prior to that. She has written the guidesheets for 250 patterns and includes fit and sewing tips. She is dubbed The McCall Pattern Company's "Fit Expert." She has been an educator for an interfacing company, a department store buyer, and has conducted seminars throughout North America and Australia. She currently teaches workshops in Portland, Oregon where she trains consumers and teachers.

Zipped through this in a night and the instructions seem really accessible and easy to follow. Haven't actually tried the method yet but the troubleshooting tips seem pretty comprehensive. I LOVE to wear pants but hate buying them because my *ahem* caboose poses some real fitting issues with off the rack stuff. I've settled for pants that are small enough for my waist but have enough stretch to accommodate my...assets. Looking forward to seeing what well fitting pants actually feel like.

Really helpful, exceptionally clear illustrations. All of the helpful tips I've found in bits and pieces elsewhere, all gathered together in one easy volume. Even addresses issues around making adjustments in the front which then causes problems in the back, and how to deal with both. The little glimpses of humor are fun.

Bought this book ages ago, back when sewing pants that fit was my life quest. I wish I had that enthusiam now. I still love the simple drawings, such a friendly book. Maybe I´ll take it off my shelf and read it again and maybe get inspired.

Fabulous book on sewing and fitting all type of pants for both men and women. I would highly recommend to new and experienced sewers. There's always something that you can learn to make your sewing easier. Just purchased a new sewing machine and I am ready to sew some pants. Enjoy!
