Here the heart of the Bible’s message is opened for the reader, and yet ideas are not over-simplified. Even readers familiar with the Bible will gain a deeper appreciation for the word and deeds of God.
Ott describes God's mission in a very practical way! Centering around the word "shalom," he concisely explains abstract Bible stories with clarity and passion. I recommend it to those seeking an explanation of the Gospel. Though I do not agree with everything he writes (like subsitutionary atonement), I agree with and want to use his picture of "shalom."
