Sometimes it's the little things that can change everything. Georgia Belle is engaged to marry the most amazing man she’s ever known. The only problem is she had to give up everything—her work, her family and her friends—and her own time period, to do it. After agreeing to marry the handsome Savannah Police Detective Sam Bohannon, Georgia has got to decide if she is going to remain in the past. On top of that, if she can’t solve the mystery in 1923 of who killed the mayor of Savannah before she goes back to 2023, the ramifications of her failure will ripple out much further than just one woman’s personal happiness. It will literally affect the next twenty years. And the coming world war.
The second in the Savannah Time Travel Mysteries series, Scarlett Must Die is an interesting story of a modern times woman (2023) who has figured out how to travel back to 1923. In 1923 she finds herself working to find the real killer of the mayor in order to set free an immigrant who was framed. The take is intriguing and kept me reading, but the blatant political rhetoric kept jarring the story line for me. Therefore it lost a star from me. Nonetheless, I look forward to reading the next book in the series. The characters are believable, although I would like to see them rounded a bit more. The relationship between them is the attraction for me.
Another great book! I am really enjoying this series of books! A bit of romance, some mystery and, yes, some sci-fi. I didn’t expect to like the stories so much.
This was a wonderful story and this is a great series. I love everything about it….the mystery, the characters, the action and the writing. What a treat!
This girl can write! I love how Susan has all these suspects. They are so obvious. Then she switches it up…..it’s not any of them. She always keeps me guessing.
