Francois-Charles Nagot was the Founding Superior of the Sulpicians in the U. S., a Catholic order founded in France in the 17th century and dedicated to Church renewal and the training of priests. Born in France in 1734, Fr. Nagot emigrated late in life to French Canada, becoming the Superior of the Society of Saint Sulpice in the United States and establishing St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland. A well-illustrated book of 178 pages, with bibliography of related books, articles, manuscripts, and unpublished studies. Many color illustrations.
