The thesis, which is successfully presented and defended, is that North Korea is a fascist (not communist) regime, based in deep conviction of racial superiority of the Korean people. The book contains a fascinating analysis of N. Korean propaganda materials from the last 60 years. The book si somewhat outdated not, but not much has changed at all. I was particularly interested in the comparisons between Soviet and N. Korean models of propaganda. The racial superiority myth was pl;anted so successfully in N. Korean citizens, it remains a powerful foundation of the entire country and it even echoes well in S. Korea, while its models are actually copied from Imperial Japan.

Have you ever wanted insight on North Korea? What is their drive, motive, and pride?

This book has a deep insight on all of it. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and recommend it to anyone who wants to see behind the scenes of a country secluded to most of the world.
