The Egyptian realm is more dangerous than I expected. The gods who inhabit this world are as ruthless as they are powerful, and I doubt any of us will return home unscathed by our experiences here.
The god of chaos, Apophis, has escaped his prison and is determined to snatch control of this realm away from Aunt SeSe’s father, Amen-Ra. Traitors lurk around every corner of the palace, making it impossible to know who we can trust and who will stab us in the back the first chance they get.
As torn as this world is between two possible leaders, so is my heart by the two men in my life. Both Jax and Carr have made it clear they desire me even though I’m no longer required to choose a husband. The real question is which one of them do I see a future with? I trust my heart will lead me in the right direction and help me decide which of them, if either, is my destiny.
I don’t know if we’ll succeed in our first mission, but we have to prevent Keres, my brother and the source of all evil, from ruling all worlds. We’re all willing to do what needs to be done, no matter the cost.
Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.
The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.
I am not really sure how I feel about this one. It picked up where the last one left off. There was so much frustration for me as the things developed and happened. It was one of those where things kept going wrong, even after you thought the issue was solved. There were doubts presented for both Carr and Jax, I am not sure who I even want to root for anymore. Though I have one that I would be disappointed if chosen.
But basically by thoughts are: WTF? and UGH!!
I will read the next one because I really want to know what happens and who El will ultimately pick.
Not as good as book one because Pandora's Quest seems to jump around a lot. I absolutely loved other books, but feel as if this one was missing her normal depth and creativity that her other stories have. It's as if her heart was truly in it:( I really look forward to book three and to see how Pandora's fate continus with the hope that it is longer, and more importantly well developed. Xoxo
I really liked this book. I love the mixture of mythology and West’ intrepretation of them. I loved the Egyptian realm and was devastated by SeSe’s decision. I am curious to see who El ultimately picks as her love interest but am most excited to continue to see the different realms. 5 stars out of 5, can’t wait until the next book.
Ok so, first of all, I love mythology and I’m loving Sandy's take on this series! 🤗🥰 El's quest is full of mystery, angst, unexpected twist and turns and a heart-wrenching goodbye! 💔😭 And, after that cliffhanger, I'm dying to read the next book! 🤯 So, so good series! ❤️
This book picked right up where the first book ended. I love when books do that. This is a great extension of book 1. I love the mythology, characters, plot, twists, turns... Uh that ending!! I cannot wait until the next book comes out. This was a great, super fast read. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
El & the gang are back, but this time in a new realm with very real danger, and betrayal. Who do you trust when nothing is as it seems, and you must make the ultimate sacrifice?
El is faced with her own fears, and emotions, as well as those from outside forces. How she handles it, will determine the outcome of not just her fate.
This series gets better and better. I couldn't put it down. This twist on mythology is a must! The twists and turns, the story, the action, and the chemistry had me reading this in just a day. I can't wait for more!
This book was amazing! I could not put it down. This book was full of twists and turns that I did not see coming. ! I laughed and cried. I can't wait to see what happens next.
It was a bit of a wait but worth it! Enjoyed coming back to the characters and continuing the story! If you’re like me, re-read the first and jump straight into the second!!!
I’ve been hooked on this series since I read the first one. This one did not disappoint, it’s full of twist and turns, love and betrayal. I’ll definitely be reading through this again!
