Senja Chronicles: A Scandinavian Adventure Novel

Rate this book
During a terrifying home invasion, a Scandinavian hunter’s teenage daughter is kidnapped, and his wife is brutally killed. After a botched police investigation, Sigurd Martinsen finds himself connected to Echo Team, an exclusive NATO special-ops unit.

Old Norse legends are awakened when Echo’s shocking discoveries turn out to be far worse than the suspected Russian-backed militants, hiding in an obsolete, Nazi-created, World War II era tunnel system.

What happens deep within the bowels of Northern Norway’s fabled Segla Mountain when Sigurd and Echo Team — like modern-day Vikings — find themselves up against menacing cave-dwelling trolls, who have been awakened and are ready to kill intruders?

Senja Chronicles is a rich, intriguing, edge-of-your-seat page turner that I couldn’t put down. There’s something for everyone in this book—action adventure, WWII and Norse history, Vikings, trolls, aliens, NATO special-ops and even a little romance. The characters are well-developed and the storyline is memorable and compelling.

The amount of research that must have gone into this book is staggering and I found myself eating up the historical tidbits even though it’s a fiction novel. The book itself is a work of art, from the richly colorful cover to the beautifully drawn interior images (just wait until you see the troll mother!).

I’ve always loved reading action-adventure, historical fiction, fantasy, and mystery genres and this book encompasses all these. Some of my favorite modern authors are Dan Brown and Michael Crichton, and now Fansu Njie and Christopher M. Allport have shown with Senja Chronicles that they rank right up there with my favorites. I look forward to future releases by Njie and Allport.
