During his time at Koshima Academy, Andross Silver has bested monsters and immortal houses.
Now, the academy is sending its students to a holy land called the Burning Lake. Treasures beyond imagination lay at the heart of this mystical realm, guarded by fearsome beasts and wild magics.
But chaos lurks behind the allure of the holy land. Forces once dormant have begin to stir, and when they make their move, nobody will be safe. With both his, and the lives of his friends in the balance, Andross' only chance of survival may be revealing his greatest secret to the world.
I keep wanting more. Except for the first book, every other book has been a bit of a disappointment. The "why" of the world building has never been answered for me. What is the point? Okay there are marked ones for the gods. Great. Why? What is their purpose? It wasn't until the end of this book that we find out what type of God the Crijik is supposed to be, and even with that it still doesn't tell me the why? The whole setup just doesn't make a lot of sense. Andross is in school, and he has to fight to increase his rank. Why? No clue. Every time he levels up a skill someone talks to him about what type of job, he could have in the future based on his magic and skills. So where does the fighting come into play? This book revolves around Andross and his friends trying to get into a pocket world so they can find loot and treasure. Some of it was interesting but at most this is a 3-star book and a 3-star series which is a shame because it could be so much better.
Wow, another great read! This book introduces a new very fun character Kyle, read the book to see what I mean. And it's full of action as Andross Silver steps up, and joins in on the school tournaments. Inorder to win his chance to go to the Burning Lake for a treasure hunt. Nothing is a given in the Burning Lake. And even though it's being chaperoned, it holds unfathomable dangers as well as treasure. But Andross Silver and friends motto is "you're a looser, if you don't take a chance." Only this time it bites 'em in the rear. With Gerial’s life on the line, it turns into a life and death struggle to make it to safety. And this story is the perfect reason for getting the book bundle, whether you get it in ebook, or audio format. What you'll have is 4 great books for a single price. And Burning Lake the best book, is saved for last!!! The best part is that ThinkTwice isn't done!
Really loved this book! A great continuation of an already amazing series, every page in this book had me invested, and I could not put it down. I loved the plot of this book so much, it is one of my favorite books of the season! Andross is a wonderful main character, and Amanda, William, Gerial, Roxxy, Gold, and Angi are great characters as well! I loved the magic system in the book and really enjoyed the world-building! This book had even a couple of twists that I did not see coming but really enjoyed! Loved this book and can't wait for book 5. Great read. I highly recommend it!
It took me about 30 pages before I felt like I remembered what was going on since the last one of these, but after that I was engrossed in the story yet again and enjoyed it. One thing that bugs me a bit about andross is that despite being a divine, other than his manapool he really doesn’t seem to be much better than others at things until the very end of this book. I do love a good OP MC so I may be biased, but I expect a bit more oomph from a divine infused being. Still a great story though and I recommend.
It was nice to see Andross meeting and surpassing expectations. I didn't expect the chaos, nor the boldness to use that name of all choices. I eagerly am anticipating the new reactions after the way the book ended. The way chaos and order are spoken about have me questioning the familiarity both have with Andross. I'm glad he has friends, and I really hope things can end well.
I really enjoyed this book and this series as a whole. I can’t wait for the next book. I hope the author’s health permits them to keep writing these books. The Marked one of Artus was a surprise, a very interesting one. A new twist in the plot. What happens next?
This was a great addition to the series. The story moved steadily and there was good character progression. A recommended read for lovers of a action and adventure in a school setting.
The magic system is weird. The Mc is only 4 years old. This world still doesn’t make sense to me or really the gods are confusing. The god who brings the Mc to this world isn’t the god who marks him as a champion. Interesting series nonetheless.
The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5, is because there are quite a lot of spelling mistakes/typos, and it's not something I'm used to seeing from this author.
Really enjoy the story and the twists that the author continues to pull as he builds this world and the characters that inhabit it. Highly suggest it to anyone who wants a fun adventure!
I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who like LitRPG and progression type of books with lots of action and intrigue.
