This is the sequel to Bunnies in the Bathroom, which you really need to read before this one. You should also read Goat in the Garden, too. Ideally, you'd read the series in order, but in the real world, that often doesn't happen.

This was one of 35 or so books that Scholastic in America would choose not to publish. I've no idea why. As a reading experience, it's quite lively. It not only features rabbits, but also ferrets, cats and dogs, including my absolute favorite character in the series, Blackie. It also features appearances by the goat Houdini and his owner.

What it doesn't feature is Mandy's three pet rabbits. For some unknown reason, they vanished from the series about 15 books ago. I had hoped there would be some mention that they ever existed ... but got no joy there.

This was written by Sue Welford, veteran of many books in the Animal Ark Universe, not just the Animal Ark series.

Although I really enjoyed reading this, I do highly doubt that moving a colony of wild rabbits would cause them to actually stay in the new location. However, I am in no way a rabbit expert. Just a quick Google shows that moving wild rabbits usually don't have happy endings.

Illustrator Jenny Gregory did a decent job, especially with the rabbits. She does have trouble with dogs. Blackie seemed out of proportion in a drawing of him and James on a bike.
