Excellent text framing the importance of personal cultural awareness as well as mindful practice within your context to empower students to embrace all aspects of their identities. I appreciated the illustrations, examples, and helpful checklists to reflect and build on current practice. I wish everyone had to read this text to teach.

This is a must-read for all teachers! I read this for my multicultural education class, and this textbook is a fantastic guide to becoming a multicultural educator. I highlighted it like crazy and am definitely keeping it on my bookshelf to reference many times throughout my career as a teacher!
