I swear to God this author was speedrunning. Straight not sharing information that a character supposedly says and then having another character repeat it back, and blatantly having massive holes in the narration. This seriously read like the earliest of first drafts, not a published book. There were so many mistakes and typos, so many holes in the story, so many just actual missing words or phrases and just...no. This needed ages more work before it saw the light of day.
It was obvious the author saw no point in world building the whole wolf shifter thing, and also that they did absolutely no research into medical procedure and care. Because not a single part of that was correct. Which you should really do when you're going to be writing a whole series of doctor werewolves Jesus.
Also Jesus CHRIST Roman is a doctor, who are taught de-escalation and sharing sensitive information as part of their training and he just drops the shifter/mate bond shit in her lap no warning assuming she would already know? It's fucking ridiculous. Everything about this was ridiculous, especially how fucking territorial he was toward her own friends when she didn't even know him. And then being the most controlling asshole possible? Can you say toxic?
Not to mention Rue not even a little bit being on Iggy's side and finding all this shit cute and sweet? Talk about a bad fucking friend. I can't believe she would just let a stranger who forced a bond onto her best friend just take said best friend with him without even showing the tiniest bit of anger or disapproval at him Literally controlling her every move? Literally the worst best friend. I can't even imagine doing that shit. If someone did that to my bestie their balls would be served on a fucking silver platter no hesitation. But no she's just like "stop thinking and go with the flow it'll be fine" and giggling like a child at everything when Iggy is OBVIOUSLY FUCKING UNCOMFORTABLE. And then turning into how moving there would be better because she would *stop being a burden on her family*. Like the fuck. I genuinely can't decide if I hate Rue or Roman more.
This book would have done much better being three times the length. There was no genuine development to their relationship or world building. She went from being against it to flopping down belly up to his demands in the blink of an eye and I hated it. Hated him. And hated the way she literally called their relationship intoxicating/addictive. And the way he's insistent that she not work because he has money, even when she wants to. That is so not healthy in the slightest. This was not a vibe.
And while I'm glad she did end up at least temporarily coming to her senses and leaving, I hate that it was to go help parents that only see her as a paycheck. They literally didn't call or contact her at all until it was time for them to need something and that was bullshit. Like they chose to give birth to her. Paying them back for a birth defect by giving up her life shouldn't be something she has to choose. She shouldn't have to choose her future over her family because they think she should be responsible for this. I mean they literally opened credit cards in her name and then maxed them out and didn't pay them, ruining her credit and future. This ain't just about her medical bills I could have promised you that before the book even ever mentioned it. Literally everyone in Iggy's life is the worst and I feel so fucking bad for her.
I have no interest in reading anything else by this author because it's obvious they have no interest in actual world building or writing anything remotely approaching a healthy relationship. No thanks.

This fun novella is a full story cobbled into 80ish pages! We meet our human who knows nothing about shifters, she finds herself vacationing in pack land, then there's her fated mate! This was a five star read until the end when the conclusion was rapidly put together in what felt like the author was not allowed to get to 90 pages so she let us know what happened after they finally got together in a: and this is what happened. The end.
Honestly, I really enjoyed the straight to the point way this story went. There was no time for all of the random, unneeded drama just to fill the space. I just wished the ending was better!
I read the first four chapters & I only read that far to see if the story truly was as bad as it seemed. It was. It actually crossed my mind that this could have been one of those AI written stories. It’s that out-of-sync with reality.
There was clearly no medical research done. Someone is rolled into the ER strapped to a gurney. Yet, they turn her to find a serious penetrating back injury from a branch. I’ll pause and let you think that through. Have they never watched like any medical drama?
Didn’t feel anything for the characters. Everything was too choppy to really engage. Bad writing.

this book could have done with a bit more thought (and plot) - everything just felt rushed.
she comes to the small town to visit her childhood 'best' friend and her boyfriends but gets into an accident while they are out skiing. she's rushed to the hospital and her doctor discovers she's his mate. she's unconscious and seriously hurt so after a few minutes of deliberating, he decides to bite her and invoke the mate bond to save her life.
when she finally wakes up, he drops it all on her - the whole shifter thing and mate bond - and acts unhappy when she doesn't accept it. despite her being human and having no clue what's going on. her 'best' friend is in a relationship with two shifters so he just assumes she would have known about the shifter world (spoiler alert - nope not one bit).
this supposed 'best' friend is not at all supportive of the whole situation - she tells her to give the guy a chance and encourages her to move in with him despite only meeting a few hours ago?? he's very possessive - even before their first conversation - and gets jealous of any interaction she has with other guys, including her 'best' friend's mates. it seems a bit toxic and unhealthy.
there's very little relationship development - they move in together after meeting and after they spend the night together - she gets a call from her parents and quickly runs back home. she leaves the shortest note ever, with no explanation, and he ends up following her to her hometown to 'win' her back. they agree to get back together - despite having no real connection (other than the apparent mate bond) - and then there's a flash-forward in the epilogue with them in five years being a married couple with a child on the way. it wasn't very interesting - it didn't seem like they even liked each other or had one actual conversation and now they're starting a family together?!
this book also glosses over her relationship with her parents - she had some medical issues when she was younger (it's only really discussed once)- and they guilt her with all the medical bills they still have left to pay. she's working two jobs to help them out and then she finds a lot of credit card debt they racked up in her name. she doesn't even confront them about it because she just leaves to go back with her doctor mate and he sends them money regularly.
final note - someone please revoke this (fictional) boy's medical licence - he's not a great doctor (or shifter, to be honest) and shouldn't be allowed in a hospital environment. he had no tact about introducing her to the shifter world - something that's barely explained - and pressures her into doing what he thinks is best, with no respect for what she wants.
This book is the first book in the series and is a standalone.
Iggy ends up in hospital after an avalanche while on holiday. She meets Roman, her doctor, who realises Iggy is his fated mate and because she’s seriously injured, he makes the decision to bit her to save her life, which then triggers their bond.
I enjoyed the fated mates concept. Roman is incredibly possessive and protective.
However - as a skier myself, you don't learn to ski by just 'grabbing' some equipment and head up a mountain hoping you'll pick it up straight away - my assumption is that the author doesn't ski themselves - and what was the deal with 'pizza', I think I figured it out, but in Europe we call it a 'snowplow', certainly had me confused for a short while. Luckily it was only in the story to set the scene for the avalanche, otherwise I think it would have put me off quite a bit.
Roman makes some massive decisions for Iggy while she’s unconscious, and when she wakes up, he just drops the whole "I’m a wolf and you’re my mate" thing on her without much warning. It felt very rushed, but this is a fated mate novella but I would have loved to see them actually talk and build a connection before things got so serious. She just gives in and goes with the flow.
I felt frustrated for Iggy regarding her family situation—she's dealing with a lot of debt created by her parents, and that whole subplot felt like it deserved a whole lot more resolution rather than just being glossed over. She should have been able to confront them and maybe made some re-connection with her siblings.
In the end, it’s a super fast-paced PNR that can definitely be read in one sitting.

A brand new author giving me everything I love in a romance!!! Super safe! No cheating! NO OW/OM! Fated mates, meaning the MC's are each others one and only mind, body, heart and soul, so dual virgins! Insta-love! Unwavering, intense love by our alpha males! Hot, steamy sex! Swoon, yes all of this is in this book and if Luna Wilder continues to give us fated mates/dual virgins and insta-love with swoon worthy heroes then I am in for the long haul! Are there enough exclamation marks to show my excitement? This is Roman (a doctor and wolf shifter), and Iggy's (a struggling girl trying to bring enough money to her family as she feels she owes them for almost going broke because of her heart condition) love story. It is sweet, OTT, growly, and Iggy is a little apprehensive of this relationship because it is all new to her. Roman is scared of her rejection because he bit her to give her some of his shifter powers to save her life, after a bad skiing accident. He was the doctor on duty and screamed, "MINE" when he scented her and then his heart broke when he saw that his mate was on the gurney. It is such a wonderful read and I am so excited to have found Luna Wilder! I am more excited with all the shifter romances to come and I will read them hungrily!! I cannot wait for Jax!
Her Life Changing Trip - Iggy’s plan was for a relaxing trip to get away from all the stresses in her life, but she ended up in a life changing situation. Roman’s life was all about his job, so he had planned to make a change so he can find his mate, but fate had other plans in store for him, as he actually met his mate during work hours. The connection between Roman and Iggy was evident from the moment they laid eyes on each other, but the circumstances didn’t allow for them to explore it.
Nevertheless, Roman decided to do everything possible to get them on track towards a future together. Even though Iggy was apprehensive about what Roman told her, she agreed to give them a chance, which led to them spending time together and having a mind blowing experience. Unfortunately, Iggy’s family intruded on her relaxation and she had to return to the chaos of her daily life. Luckily, Roman decided to do everything possible to get his mate back, so they could have the life they were destined to live.
This was a great shifter romance story with a few twists and spicy moments, that will keep you eagerly turning the pages and leaving you wanting to read more books written by this author. Grab a copy of this book now and£ you won’t be disappointed.

Roman is a doctor at Aspen Ridge Medical Hospital in Aspen Ridge Alaska. The unusual fact about the small community is that they are majorally Shifters and, as which, they have to abide by certain rules when they encounter their fated mate and she or he happens to be human. In other words, they cannot mark a human by biting them without their consent.
Roman has been hoping to find his fated mate for a long time now but without any success. This is about to change.
Iggy is a young woman who started in life with a heart operation to replace a valve. Doted on by her parents who spared no expense towards her recovery, to the point that 20 years later, they are still crumbling under the weight of debt, she feels trapped. Grateful but trapped. At the invite of her closest and dearest friend, she decides to go on a much needed vacation to her friend's home in Aspen Ridge some two hours away.
Skiing with Rue and her two male companions, she is caught in an avalanche and looses consciousness. Once found, she is rushed to Aspen Ridge Medical Hospital where she is taken charge of by none other than Roman.
The author succeeds in capturing the reader's attention in this short but full of consequence story where the fate of two persons must be decided before the next full moon. I loved the story and the characters an highly recommend this book while rating it 5 Stars.
This is the first book in this series. It is also the first book by Luna that I have read. I will start with this book is short and if you want a drawn and researched plot than this isn’t a book for you. However if you want a quick instalove shift romance than read ahead. Iggy was sick as a child and feels that she owes her family for the amount of money they had to spend to help her get better. She has come to Anchorage to visit her friend. While there to gets swept up in an avalanche. Roman is a doctor at the local er. He is a shifter who is still waiting to meet his mate. He knows the minute Iggy is rolled in that she is his mate. Just when they think they have her stabilized they find another injury. You would think that was the most trouble they hard. But it isn’t. Roman must convince Iggy that they are destined to be together and that he knows this because he is a wolf shifter. Iggy must decide if she wants what makes her happy or wants to continue to live her life for her parents. Iggy’s friend will help her decide. They have more in common than Iggy knows. This book was a fun read. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
Iggy, our female main character, is the best friend of Rue, who was featured in The Grizzlies' Captive Mate. Iggy "meets" Roman at a time when she is in desperate need of medical help, Roman is a doctor, but in order to save her from death (she's in BAD shape), he gives her his shifter claiming bite without her knowledge or consent. This only complicates trying to explain the whole concept of shifters to her.
It's a great story, but I think more time could have been spent explaining why he needed to bite her. She was quick to just brush it off and I'm not sure a lady truly would be.
I'm also really tired of the trope of awful parents. Why can't our main characters come from happy homes they don't need to escape from?
Overall, I recommend this read and definitely look forward to more from Luna Wilder.

What a cute couple! Right from the start I loved how this man and his wolf loved and protected his woman. He was growly and she was skeptical because she was new to this world. But then it all came together.
She was hurt and met her doctor who didn't want to let this particular patient go. He wanted to heal her, forever.
I loved his growling nature and her doubtful one. It was realistic and cute all at once. He was so mindful of her care and I loved their getting to know one another. I hated the parental situation for her. Yes her parents were great to do their duty to save her. But that doesn't make your child a slave to you for the rest of your life. Their completely unnecessary expenses? Oh, no. A great couple and a believable situation despite the shifters. Whom I love! I actually read this last of the four books in this series, sigh, but loved these two all the same.
I loved Bitten By The Doctor Book 1 of Aspen Ridge Pack: Shifter MD. Iggy is visiting her friend when an avalanche almost kills her but a shifter realizes she is his fated mate and his bite saves her. Now when she wakes Roman just has to explain he’s a shifter, they are fated mates and they will be together forever. Seems easy enough but his grumpy and demanding demeanor aren’t helping his case. Iggy is feeling drawn to Roman but when he says he’s a wolf shifter she thinks he’s lost his mind. But her friend convinced her to give him and chance and in the end he will end up changing her life. This was such a sweet story and I just loved the characters. This is a great start to a new series. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is book number 1 of the Aspen Ridge Pack: Shifter M.D. series and focuses on Roman and Iggy. When Iggy comes to Aspen Ridge to visit her best friend Rue (from The Grizzlies' Captive Mate) she ends up caught up in an avalanche and is rushed to the hospital. When she gets to the hospital, Roman is there and immediately knows that she is his mate. It definitely takes them a minute to get on the same page but once they do, they don’t hold back. Roman knew that he couldn’t live without Iggy and was determined to do whatever he had to do to win her over. This was a great story and a great start to the Shifter M.D. series!

While visiting her friend, Iggy is injured while skiing when suddenly there is an avalanche. Roman is a doctor on duty when people are brought in from an accident at a ski resort. As soon as Iggy enters the ER, Roman can smell that she is his mate. Iggy's injuries are life-threatening, and she's dying. The only way to save her life is to give the mating mark. But, can Roman make his mate fall in love with him? I really enjoyed this book. I definitely wish Iggy would have been confrontational with her parents. They were using her and making her feel bad about something that she had no control of. I'm absolutely looking forward to the next one!!!

A steamy shifter romance with a wolf shifter, Roman, and his human fated mate, Iggy. This was a different mate romance since at first meeting, she’s dying in his emergency room. Their mate bond can save her life, but what happens if she decides she doesn’t want the mate bond. It was also different because of that fear that she might leave and break Roman’s heart forever. So that fear led to a bit of controlling behavior on Roman’s part that made Iggy question whether it was a relationship worth pursuing. I loved the mate heat and the spice that came from that. Iggy and Roman really are made for each other but they just have to find their way and their path to a sweet HEA.

This book was a great short read and start of a new series. Definitely felt empathy for the doctor and the untenable position he's put in deciding whether to bite his fated mate to save her life. Definitely some angst on his part and a bit of over compensation/protection. Iggy is dealing with enormous guilt issues thinking she is the cause of her parents' financial issues. Thankfully they are able to overcome all these issue with their friends help.
While this is a short book, it is definitely action packed and a full story. Definitely no fluffy fillers! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Now this is the book you want to read. Full of shifters, insta love, kindness, and love!!
I was automatically drawn to Alpha maleness in Roman right away!! Even he couldn't control his over the top behaviour for his mate.
I loved that Iggy was sweet, but reserved. She doesn't let life's hardships stop her for really giving Roman a chance.
Now lets not forget the scorching HEAT between these two. The absolute adoration Roman has for Iggy would move anyone to jealously!! Give this book the time it deserves for such a sweet story.

This was such a quick story that was an insta love story. Roman achieved his dream of being a doctor, the only thing that he needs now is his mate. Iggy is taken to the ER and with the injuries she has they are life threatening. Roman sells her the minute she come through the doors. The only way to save her is to give her the mating mark. He's a wolf shifter and Iggy is human. Can he take away her free will to save her life? This was a super cute, sweet shifter romance. I loved it and look forward to the next book in the series.

Iggy went to Aspen Ridge to visit her best friend. She is caught up in an avalanche and taken to hospital. Roman is a doctor and a wolf shifter who is desperate to find his fated mate. When Iggy is wheeled into the hospital injured he knows instantly she is his! But she is dying! He gives her his mating bite to save her but knows he has to convince her to be his which might prove difficult. Sweet, steamy romance with a grumpy but loving hero, amazing chemistry and a beautiful HEA.

Dr. Roman Michaels knows she is his mate but she is bad shape and may not make it. He knows biting her will accelerate the healing process.

Iggy had a difficult life, her family didn't have much money and she felt responsible for that since as a child she had to have heart surgery. After a few months, she saved up the money to visit her best friend. But it was hit by an avalanche. Bad luck? it was not the case. there she meets Dr. Roman, who, besides being a doctor, is a wolf; to save her, he makes her his mate. Even though she didn't believe it at first, Iggy couldn't resist.

Roman has been waiting for her mate all his life and suddenly there she is, in front of him. Unfortunately, she is dying, and he can’t lose her just when he meets her. Iggy’s illness has her family on the red. She works a lot to help them pay their debts, but she needs a break, and that break will change her life forever. Some parts of the story are a bit rushed. Roman is too bossy for my liking. All in all, I enjoyed the book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Woman visits her friend in a snow town and gets caught in an avalanche. After being rushed to the hospital, the surgeon recognizes the unconscious dying woman as his mate and claims/turns her. Now, he needs her to get on bored with the fact that she's stuck with him for life.
Short and sweet. It's definitely fantasy and far-fetched, but it's a paranormal romance, so you expect it to be. In real life, if a person you met hours ago tells you that you're married and living with him... then you agree... People would be checking your sanity.
She goes to visit a friend who is in a relationship with 2 guys. They go skiing and she gets caught in an avalanche. At the hospital, she's treated by a wolf shifter doctor who identifies her as his mate.
At that point, she finds out that her friend's guys are bear shifters.
Lots of pressure on her because she was born with a birth defect and medical costs had a big impact on her family's finances. She still works 2 hourly jobs to help her parents with expenses.
She eventually gives in to the doctor, they get to know each other, and she decides being a mate is cool.
4/5🌟 this story of Iggy and Roman was very sweet and delightful. It will warm your heart. Roman who is a wolf shifter has been looking for his mate for years. Iggy who was visiting a friend unfortunately, had an accident and she ended in a hospital. There she meets Dr. Roman. Who by the way saved her life by biting her. He tells her what he is and a not so subtle way. He is grumpy but tries to be patience with Iggy as she grasp the concept and her new reality.
Roman is a doctor and when he sees his mate rolled into the emergency room, he has a choice to make, bite her and save her or watch her die. It’s a simple choice for him but what will happen when she realizes she’s been claimed by a wolf shifter? This is freaking awesome. Fast, dramatic and scorching! A must read!.
