2 year old absolutely loves this book. Loves planes. Since it’s a board book, he can read it on his own and has taken to carrying it everywhere we go. He quickly learned new vocabulary from it as well. Will have to renew from library a few times.
Alistair learned the word "vertical" from this book. Not much story, but illustrations of different planes. "this one takes off vertically. This one takes off of water." Etc. Great for plane lovers
Not so great for storytime, but if your kiddo likes planes and wants to see all the different kinds, this is 100% the book for them. The illustrations are really good... there's just not much story.
Young plane lovers will be intrigued by this informational text that is filled with images of planes. There are 20 different ones depicted on the endpapers of this board book, and then young readers see planes fashioned from paper, wood and canvas, and metal. Several colorful pictures show all the things that planes can do, including carrying and dropping off supplies, and releasing water to help put our raging forest fires.
This book is a good book for students who are interested in planes and flying. It is a simple book that takes the reader through while describing different planes.
Emerson was glued to this book, asking that the pages not be turned until he was absolutely done viewing the illustrations on each page, sometimes flipping back to view a page again. Very nice--historical planes to modern planes. He loved it.
