D succeeded in making it through the final exam and achieved his goal of being promoted to a full-time Ranger... even better, he defeated the Blue Keeper and stole his divine artifact. If only he didn't have to share credit with the boss monster, Peltrola. Now, as D enters the Green Squadron with his fellow recruit, Usukubo, he prepares to take down a new target: the Green Keeper! What’s more, there seems to be another boss monster lurking around the neighborhood. It's time for a brand new undercover op. If D is discovered, it's over—and what's this about a series of mysterious disappearances around town?
The artwork is still good and I like the idea of the time loop in his school created by the boss is wearing the skin of a former junior ranger and I love how you get some more back stories which I’m always a sucker for I like the fact that D being a monster has no recollection of school whatsoever so for him the time loop really doesn’t hold any power over him and it’s interesting to see how The idea of a perfect school day happening over and over and over can someways be appealing especially to those who don’t really get the chance to have a proper school life due to everything that’s going on I’m looking forward to reading the next volume.
I think this volume is a lot of fun, one of my favorites so far. I’m a huge sucker for time loops so that definitely contributed to it (as did the kiss, that caught me off guard so much, it was very funny. Go Mr Policeman haha) but I also really liked learning more about Hisui and green squadron’s past. Chidori’s character design is cute and I’m interested to learn more about him as well. Excited for the boss fight!
