As Muslims, it is our duty to fight for justice as a part of our ibadah (worship/spiritual practice). Before we can be effective revolutionaries, we must first fix ourselves by disciplining our desires and forming a deep connection with Allah.

Imam Jamil al-Amin spends each chapter discussing one of the pillars of Islam with analogies relating to the time it was written (90's) but practically everything can be applied to the present-day as well. The problems in our society that he outlined have progressed for the worse since the time this was published.
