Nova went from the beach, to the depths of a locked down mansion. Bound to endure the obstacles and tormenting demons of this new life, she fights for more than just her freedom. She fights for love. Tyr went from being a captive forced-to-become-accomplice of his captor, to someone who loves hard and fast. While figuring out a way to get away from the same demons, he fights his own emotions. They end up battling together, and with others, to overcome the monster that stole their lives.
I sped through this book so fast! Only took a few hours to read. The prologue sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down after that. This book does have some spice in it and it was well done! The darkness level was also very good! I can’t look at hammers the same though.
Omg! The rollercoaster ride of this book! It was a short read but kept me hooked the whole time! It definitely has some DARK stuff in it that I wasn’t quite expecting but was a great short read! I love that even going through that horrible dark stuff, they still found a safe place in each other and helped each other through it all. I can’t wait to read the next book! Hammers will never be the same after reading this 👀
Let me start out by saying that this isn’t my normal genre of books. I do not mind a dark, suspenseful, romance book but this was outside of that. I can’t say I enjoyed reading it because that just doesn’t feel right, I don’t want to say I enjoyed some of the very dark topics BUT it was such a good book! I could not put it down and read it in a couple of hours! As a mom of two girls, this situation terrified me but it made for such a fantastic book. So check your trigger warnings and make sure you are comfortable with very dark and harsh topics such as r4pe, @abuse, and captivity. With all that being said Nova was a great FMC! Everything moved fast because it’s a novella, but I don’t feel like we were cheated out of any details. The author did a great job grabbing my interest from the first couple of paragraphs. As for this being a debut book…I couldn’t tell. It was very well written and felt like a seasoned author was telling a great story. Well done!
When a short read takes you on a wild ride and you get to the end and find out the author is in southern Alabama! 🫨 I met her on TikTok and she told me about prequel to her book coming out next month that is on Kindle Unlimited. Now normally I am not triggered at all, so trigger warnings aren’t needed, but this one almost triggered me. I feel triggered isn’t the word because it never happened to me, nor what part I’m talking about could happen to me. So maybe triggered is the wrong word 😂 I’ll say it almost disturbed me a little. But the book was amazing.
It’s about this girl named Nova and she’s been kidnapped by this completely insane old man named Roger. He has her and 3 others trapped in a mansion on an island. 2 men and 2 women. And he puts them through so much. He is completely insane! I will not say more because I do not like to spoil it for others. But if you like dark and crazy and don’t mind some gore and aren’t easily triggered then it is for you.
*my review was not persuaded by anyone. It is my own honest opinion of the book that I read*
What started as a normal summer day for Nova didn't end like it was supposed to. She wakes up only to find out she had been kidnapped. First she meets Tyr who like her is being held along with Kiyanna and Caleb. The four of them come together as friends to help deal with all they have to go through. The ending was great and I really hope this author continues on with each of their stories as I would love to read more. This book does have some trigger warnings so please only download the sample before reading so you can see the warnings. If you are ok with the triggers or don't have any you really should read this book. I can't wait to see what else this author comes out with. I hope she continues and turns this into a series.
OMG I absolutely loved reading this!! I was so hooked by the story I couldn’t put down!
This book had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen. I loved Tyr - MMC he is so sweet to Nova - MFC!
SPOILERS BELOW!!
This book is about 4 young people who were taken from their family and friends. Two young women over 18 who are v-I-r-g-I-n-s and 2 young men who have limited experience and are also over 18. The one who is holding them in an isolated location is Roger. He has them clean and do chores and they get punishment for doing anything Roger does not like. The ending was so sweet I enjoyed that. But it also ends knowing there is definitely more to come.

Nova heads out to the beach with her friend to relax in the sun. After kicking back for a few moments, she goes to the lady's facility we're she is taken by the Devil (not the Devil, but he gives the Devil a run for his money). She wakes up in destination Hellhouse and immediately draws the attention of another captive, Tyr.
He finds her attractive and feels the need to keep her safe. While doing so, he, too, faces challenges that threaten his well-being.
This novella is dark and may not be suitable for everyone. I truly enjoyed it and loved Tyr out of all the characters you will meet.

This is a dark romance novella that causes strangers to be forced together by dark and sinister circumstances. When the main characters attempt to find comfort and solace in one another's arms, their capture escalates his degrading and disturbing antics in an attempt isolate them. After months of enduring their captures wrath, they come together and give this man a taste of his own treatment. (I loved what they did to this a**hole, but I don't want to ruin it so if you want to know go read the book). This book is a short and totally worth the read, but as always when reading dark romance make sure you check the trigger warnings provided by the author.
A Key to Supernova is dark. And I loved it!!! This quick-paced and deliciously evil novella grabbed me from the start and didn’t let go, cannot wait for the sequel! Please read trigger warnings to make sure this book is for you. I have recently starting reading this genre and my twisty mind wants more!!
Thanks to Natasha Nelson, the author, for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review, I am looking forward to her future books!
This book is a prequel to Waking Up For Him. I definitely recommend reading this one first. Certain storylines make more sense in Waking Up For Him if you read this first.
For a novella, this packed a punch. Nova is such an amazing character. We follow her as she retells an extremely traumatic event in her life. There are very dark topics so check your triggers but it's worth the read. Nova will always have a place in my heart.
Nova is just a regular girl spending time on the beach with her bestie when life takes an unexpected turn. Nova is attacked while exiting a Porta Potty on the beach and taken to an undisclosed location, and held hostage for 6 months with 3 other captives. This book was AMAZING. I can't wait for more from this author. I loved the story. It's dark and twisted. Check triggers.

Absolutely Amazing!!!! Nova thought she was having a typical beach day with her bestie. She was in for a big surprise. She gets abducted! I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but if you like dark and twisted like me. Read it now!!!! I devoured this book, and didn’t put it down until I finished. That’s how good it was! I can’t wait for the next one!!!
This book was okay not really what I expected and quite frankly stomach turning at times. I am not a fan of unconsentual abuse. It's like stalkhome meets escape room extreme. All though the book had a very basis it needed someone looking for them. It needed that cop aspect to even it out from all the sad things.
This is a very fast paced emotional novella. There are scenes in this book that crush you but there is also scenes that will warm your heart. Please read TW before reading this. Natasha done an amazing job. Can’t wait for the next book.
This book was an interesting take on young adults who have been taken by a sick and twisted man. There are some scenes that may be triggering for some so I definitely suggest checking the warnings before reading.
This dark romance novella describes what it’s like to be kidnapped by a sick and twisted individual and about all the trauma it causes. However, this book is also about finding hope - and love - in most unusual circumstances. Starting at the end, this novella kept me in its grip.
⚠️*Check trigger warnings before reading, this is Dark!*
This novella was short, to the point and fast-paced. The story was captivating, and I wish there was more of it. I liked Tyr and Nova's characters, and Roger was a properly disgusting villain. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.
Definitely check the TW, but this dark novella was hard to put down! What should have been a normal day at the beach turns into a nightmare for Nova. However, within that nightmare is a sliver of hope. The mmc Tyr was super sweet and loving, and I absolutely loved the ending!
A normal beach day turns very dark, very fast! Read the triggers before reading!!!! R@pe, tor+ure, etc I got sucked into this so quickly. It was a quick read, and I finished it within a few hours. Writing 5/5 • Story 4/5 • Spice 3/5
After reading this book I couldn’t help but think of that song, “We found love in a hopeless place”. I couldn’t imagine being in the situation that these characters were in but having each other to lean on and support was a beautiful thing.
Loved this novella! Dark reads are some of my favorites. What starts out as a normal day on the beach goes downhill very fast. Highly recommend this read!!
This book was great! I like the darker books and this was exactly that. It did not disappoint at all!! Love love love! Definitely things happened that I did not foresee and I love that in a book.
This book is PERFECTION!! This book was amazing. I didn't want to put it down!! The spice was intense but not overly done! I can't wait for the next one!!
100% check your t/w and C/w before you start this book. It's super dark but so good!
It's a 10/10 for me, I loved the insta bond between Tyr and Nova even though they went through hell together. I adore Natasha/Runa's writing and can't wait to see what comes next.
