Book Review 📚:-

Bhakti Mathur’s “Amma Tell Me How Krishna Fought The Demons” is the second book of the Krishna Trilogy. This book is a epitome of why Krishna is referred to as the heroic lord despite being young. The book describes about how Lord Krishna fought against the evil demons sent by his maternal Uncle Kansa and how he defeats each of them by his mischief, bravery and heroics.

The book talks about how Lord Krishna defeated Bakasura, Putana and many other demons. It also refers to how mischievous Lord Krishna was during his childhood and how he showed the whole world inside his mouth. The stories are narrated to Kiki and Klaka by Amma who introduce the heroics of Lord Krishna into their life.

The book is a good read to know about the spiritual, mythological stories of Lord Krishna. It is a nice book to introduce spirituality into kids at a young age. The vibrant pages and the illustrations and the glossy pages makes the book catchy amongst the young readers. A nice and interesting book read for kids for sure.

This is the second part of Krishna triology written by Bhakti Mathur, the marvelous storyteller artist.
Her power to narrate is more than just an oral story but a visionary truth depicting through her words.
This book blends the truths where Krishna bhagavan fought different demons like bakasura sent by Kansa, the maternal uncle to Krishna.

My entire childhood went watching Krishna stories and while reading this book I reimagined everything.
This is a good book for kids, for children and will help them empower the powers and strengths within from the stories of little krishna, children will get to learn about the mythology and become religiously human.

Happy reading!

So this is the second book in the little Krishna trilogy and honestly it felt so nostalgic reading it because these are the exact stories we have heard growing up but here they are written in such a simple way that even kids today can connect. The book talks about how Kansa kept sending demons one after another to finish Krishna and how as a baby itself he fought them all Putana, Trinavarta, Vatasura and Bakasura. I liked how the story is told through Amma’s voice because it really feels like someone is telling the story right next to me, like a bedtime story vibe. The writing is simple and easy. It has that rhythm which kids would enjoy but even as an adult I found myself reading along with a smile. The illustrations are so vibrant I actually imagined the scenes happening in front of me, it adds so much charm. What I personally enjoyed is that it’s not just fight after fight there are small moments of Krishna’s mischiefs which make him so lovable. It’s a book that works both as a fun read for children and a sweet reminder for adults of stories we grew up listening to.
