excellent collection of poetry & a touching family essay
Bobby Shaw digs deeply into the paradoxes of contemporary Black life in America, arguing for spiritual freedom & artistic expansion. His love poems are brief & touching. His polemics are well-considered and sincerely felt. His essay about his mother is worth the purchase price alone.
