There are things of this book that are great. However, I think it was short on the premise of the book. The plague topic starts more than half way though the book, and I feel it was not fully explored
On the other side Ken Follett characters are always captivating and with a very profound development..
In general I belive this is a good book but after pillars of the earth I felt it was short sighted.
