*DISCLAIMER: I'm reviewing this as a classroom teacher, NOT as an educator in a leadership position, which is who this book is aimed at.*

Learning by Doing is a practical guide for implementing the Professional Learning Community (PLC) model in schools. It offers detailed steps, real-world scenarios, and resources designed primarily for administrators and teacher leaders to help build a collaborative culture focused on student learning. The book outlines the core principles of PLCs—shared mission, collective inquiry, and results orientation—and emphasizes structured collaboration, common assessments, and data-driven interventions to improve student outcomes.

It was definitely geared towards admin and teacher leaders, but I appreciated the insight as to what they have to do (or really, endure) to get a bunch of teachers to become a functioning PLC.
