The Disney Treasures

Rate this book
Selected from the vast archives of the Walt Disney Company, this historic collection includes handwritten letters and notes of Walt's, rare character sketches from the 1930's and 1940's, replicas of Disneyland's opening-day tickets, photos, movie theater programs, comic strips, greeting cards, commissary menus, and other treasures, reproduced in facsimile form. Many of these special features are designed to be removable so readers can touch and hold masterfully reproduced bits of history. In addition, the book comes with a 60-minute CD that features previously unheard audio of Walt Disney , radio commercials from the 1950s, and never-before-released sound tracks from the parks' most popular attraction.

If you love all the Disney Treasures DVD's, then you will love this as well, it very good stuff, you have to own one to enjoy it, it has old letters from days gone by, from important people, cinema tickets from some of the best disney films, lots and lots of Disney Memorabillia inside to enjoy, well worth buying and adding to anyones Disney collection.

I love this book because it features pieces from decades of Walt Disney and even replica things like an "E" ticket. Basically, if you love Disney and knowing more about the history of it, this is your kind of book!

This book is about Walt. His life, his work, his projects and his dreams. Everything is presented in small chapters with great info and unique photos and illustrations. But hidden throughout the book are some small treasures, replicas of tickets, letters, drawings, animation cells, invitations and maps. Who else than Robert Tieman, archives manager at Walt Disney Archives from 1990 to 2010, could create such a treasure of a book. I’m still reading this once in a while and it’s such a joy to take out these small replicas, which help you realize even more how special the life of Walt Disney was.

One of the must have books for Disney fans, really amazing

The book was as interesting as The Disney Keepsakes. The Disney Treasures have been published earlier than the Keepsakes, but I managed to get this now. The little details are lovely and every story is worth knowning for Disney-fan! I absolutely want to have this book in my own collection.
