When you become a writer, there's an unwritten responsibility on you. Your words have an impact on the society at large and every individual who reads it in particular. This book was supposed to be on the life of Vivekananda. His thoughts and his way of living. However, the book only quotes various letters Swamiji wrote during his lifetime and a lot of analysis is done by the writer on the same for which no proper basis is found. When a biography is written, personal opinions are not required to be included. Also, if someone wants to include a particular analysis that should be in the best interests of the society and not by demeaning any particular caste or religion. The writer cannot take the liberty of writing harsh words towards any religion just because he is able to publish a book. Completely irresponsible act, no real basis of opinions made, trying to influence thoughts of the readers, concepts not covered wholly. - not recommended.
I read the English version of the same, no matter how many years pass by , the writing or the biography of swami Vivekananda still enthralls me , so does this book by Hansraj Rahabar. This biography is very good and an attempt to look the teaching by swami ji from today's perspective .
