It's hard to find books on Malta, at least where I live. And with a parent planning a move to the country, I want to learn all I can. I borrowed this one from the library.
Negatives: It's dated. Twenty plus years of Maltese development has taken place since it was written.
Positives: It gave me a concise history of the country, from St Paul to the English with everything that has happened in between. There are also pronounciation helps with some of the place names. I now know that Xl is roughly pronounced Schl. The fishing town of Xlendi is Schlendi, for example. Mgarr is Im-yah.
The Let's Visit series was popular in its day. It isn't hard to see why.
