Можно сказать, что "Оно" - роман о гермафродите. И вроде так и есть. Но за образом и судьбой человека с неопределенным именем Валько - метафора времени, которым мы все в какой-то степени гермафродитированы. Понятно, что не в физиологическом смысле, а более глубоком. И "Они", и "Мы", и эта книга Слаповского, тоже названная местоимением, - о нас. При этом неожиданная - как всегда. Возможно, следующей будет книга "Она" - о любви. Или "Я" - о себе. А возможно - веселое и лиричное сочинение на сюжеты из повседневной жизни, за которое привычно ухватятся киношники или телевизионщики. "Вычислить" Слаповского трудно, в том числе ему самому. Этим он и интересен.
