Dick finally faces off against the spy-killer, and has some revelations of his own!
While couched in action, this issue is really about emotions. And the trigger for those is a couple of amazing speeches by King that really resonate. Dick has a long speech full of humor and quips that would rival the best issues of Spider-Man! That speech is followed by a dark and haunting monologue delivered by the killer that cuts deep into Dick more than any knife could. This issue simply sparkles with excellent dialogue! A true highlight here!
And the story develops so well...very true to the spy genre! And as we reel from revelations and emotional turmoil, the last pages twist readers again and leave you wanting more - NOW!
The artwork is so amazing and detailed. Expressions speak volumes that enhance the dialogue. A fantastic example of the written and drawn working together to provide great graphic fiction!
Simply a great issue with a fantastic presentation!
