This was a great YA fantasy with D&D vibes fantasy.
I really enjoyed all the characters and learning about their developing powers.
I felt like the book was a perfect length and pace was well set to keep from any lagging portions.

This was entertaining for myself (an adult) and I think it would be a great intro to fantasy for any young reader.

This is a great book. What else can I say? The author weaves an engaging, fantastical tale full of twists, action, adventure, and a team of believable characters I wanted to follow along with. I loved the group dynamic and varied personalities. The main character has plenty of challenges and setbacks to face, but the way he steps up to the plate made him very likeable for me. Definitely worth the read.

The Tower Between seamlessly blends the ordinary with the extraordinary as it plunges YA readers into a world where the lines between fantasy and reality blur.
At the heart is Zack, a young man grappling with the chaos of life - faltering exams, a dying grandmother, and an unrequited love. His world takes an unexpected turn when he and his friends face a supernatural attack. From that pivotal moment, the story unfolds into an enthralling adventure that transcends the mundane.
The Tower Between quickly sets the stage for a well-developed journey of self-discovery and magical challenges. Zack, once on the brink of failure and despair, discovers newfound strength within himself as he confronts not only external threats but also his deepest fears.
The pacing is solid, devoting enough time to grounding the characters in their lives while contrasting it with an exploration of the fantastical to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
The vividly depicted realms and the enigmatic creatures add layers of depth to the story, creating a world that is both magical and eerily tangible. The stakes are high and the emotional resonance is palpable, making it a compelling read for fans of fantasy and adventure.
Overall, author Mark Kramarzewski skilfully weaves together elements of mystery, fantasy, and adventure, propelling Zack and his friends into the heart of a hidden society. At its heart, the Tower Between is a coming-of-age adventure about resilience, friendship, and overcoming personal challenges to discover our true potential. I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

The Tower Between is a highly enjoyable, entertaining, and relatable book. It tells the story of a group of seven friends who are unexpectedly drawn into a world filled with magic and monsters. They choose to train with the Tower to protect our world. Each teen is drawn to a different school which teaches them various disciplines that when used together become magic powerful enough to defeat entities from distant realms.
The friends learn that teamwork is necessary if they are to survive, and in the final battle, they all pull together to fight a creature coming through a breach in the Tower.
It is such a great YA story, reinforcing that everyone has a talent and by working together and supporting each other, you get the job done. I loved the diversity of the cast and am really looking forward to delving deeper into each of their personalities in future books.
Highly recommend for ages 13+

The Tower Between is a YA fantasy that offers a dynamic cast of characters, witty dialogue, and a unique magic system. The reader follows Zack and his friend group as they are pulled into a world of magic. After joining The Tower, they each select a weapon to wield and a form of magic to learn—or rather; the magic chooses them. But before they journey into unique realms and fight terrifying creatures, they will need to finish their homework first. This story combines high-stakes adventure, humor, and dramatic storytelling. The main character's emotions and what he is going through are grounded, relatable, and realistic throughout the story.

Very enjoyable. The story follows a group of teenagers stumbling onto a world full of magic hidden within the real world. I enjoyed the characters very much, and their struggles to reconcile training for magic and how that impacts their real life relationships with their familiar and friends that aren’t aware of this second world.

The main character is great exploration into people that struggle with focus. For me it provided insight into how my daughter who has ADHD thinks.

I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

A fantastic book.
Mark has done a wonderful job creating characters that feel very well fleshed out have their own individual personalities, motivator and flaws. Each of them are loveable, frustrating but ultimately believable. I found myself becoming invested with each of them, and protective of multiple within a short period of time.
The story throughout was extremely well paced and engaging. I found that at the end of each chapter I would say to myself "Just one more".

A wonderful read, I can't wait to see what happens with Zack and the squad in the future.

The Tower Between is the first book in a YA fantasy series, following a series of teenagers who stumble upon a secret world of magic and power and strange worlds. I loved the relatable characters in this book and their interactions as their friendships are tested. There is also plenty of mystery that I guess will unravel further as the series goes on. By the end the book I was hungry for more, so I can't wait for Book 2 of this series. Highly recommend.
