deeply strange book about a house cat versus some v. annoying fairies, gremlins, sprites and other things that go bump in the night. The humans blame the cat for the troubles, of course.

Whenever something goes amiss in the house, Wendell is the first to be blamed. But little does the family realize that Wendell can see what they can't. When it's time to take charge, and run the mischief makers off; it's Wendell to the rescue.

Cute story of Wendell the cat, who gets blamed for everything. I LOVE the 1950 style illustrations.
