I love handbags. Not shoes - handbags. So this little book about bags was a useful insight into this girl's best friend. It was a fascinating read and the pictures were great. But have I become a bag - a- nista - NO. Will I spend my life's savings on a V.B. cast off - On Your Bike. Interesting - yes. Fun - Yes. Does my life depend on the latest Gucci number - No way. Thank you SP for adding perspective.

A lot of historical, factual information and interesting anecdotes packed into this little book!
Lovely pictures, although the watermarked photos made the pages a little hard to read.
if you wanted an good, solid introduction to the history of handbags this is a great book to start with. It starts with medieval bags/pouches and goes up to 2006. Enjoyable.
