WOOOWWW. this book. I finally understand why harmony turned out the way she turned out.. the monsters she was raised by. this book continously made me mad... and it seemed like it took forever for me to read. SHIRLEY was a sick ass human being and she was basically the whole start of it all. the way that she treated estelle broke my heart and all estelle ever wanted was to be loved by her mother but it was like an on going envious thing. and so many people came in and out of shirley life. and the way she always favored charles was sick as hell. ESTELLE was good as long as she could be... but it was on going satanic .. all her life she just wanted to be loved and noticed that just from reading... and certain mistakes she made was lies that she told to try and ensure that certain people didnt leave her life.
CORNELL I liked him to a certain extent... the way that he treated estelle was good real good at first... and then they find someone or something else to interest them. and that is exactly how it went. i did understand both sides of the fields but when it came down to it he didnt even try to make it work with estelle
CHARLES was a sick ass human being and he was a person who forever deserved death and never got it.
IRMA the way she had the book ending i couldnt even blame her. what estelle did and put her through it was actually only right. it was just sad how it went about.
the whole book still got me want tstyles to make another part of the series. she definitely did her damn thing on this book.
This book is for those of us, who have a sympathetic heart to the Raunchy series, about Harmony and her daughters Jayden and Madjesty. It takes us back a couple of generations, to the grandmother's humble beginnings and all that she had to do in order you survive. How did it affect her children and how did she end up raising Harmony?
These and other questions will be answered in this book.
As I was reading this book, I realized two things…(1) it's been too long since I've read anything from the Twisted Mother @authortstyles and (2) her gift of telling stories just reached another all-time peak.
This book is just that good y'all!
I normally share my favorite and least favorite characters, but in this book, I couldn't do that. I felt sorry for poor Harmony and every other character was my least favorite character. Whew!
Trigger warning: If you are familiar with this series, then you already know there is sexual abuse.
Omgggg, I absolutely loved this book. Just like Raunchy had me going through all emotions, this book followed suit!!! But, I think if Shirley would have just seen and listened to her mother (Mabel) I think she may have made different choices.
