Grab this steamy stand-alone about a reclusive, damaged, billionaire, the woman he pays to marry him, and what they discover when they’re forced together in his cabin with deep wounds and attraction they can’t deny!
Silas is parked outside Jensen's General Store by his truck and even though the nice weather has brought out the residents of the small mountain town they give him a glance and steer clear. Which is exactly how he wants it.
His cabin was an hour's drive up the mountain and he only comes to town for supplies and to sell firewood to the general store. He left his nightmares behind fifteen years ago and has no interest in getting to know anyone. No longer the clean-cut eighteen-year-old his tattoos, long hair and beard give him a biker look that says 'keep away'.
As he and his constant companion, Whiskey, wait impatiently for the general store owner to finish up inside so he can get back to the privacy of his cabin. He feels to exposed leaning against his truck and when he sees a town car heading up the mountain a chill goes down his spine knowing deep down that he has been found.
Lyla is having more and more misgivings the further the car drives up the mountain. The small town they had just driven through was the closest piece of civilization and she was told there was still over an hour's drive ahead. She needed $50k fast and short of resorting to prostitution this was her only option. Although selling herself as a mail-order bride wasn't much of a step up.
When the car pulls up to a small cabin in the middle of the wilderness the only thing keeping her from telling the driver to take her back is the reason that she needs the money so desperately.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book can be read as a standalone novel as the characters are not recurring, but the complete series has been very enjoyable.
Lyla needs money desperately and marrying a stranger is her only option and even the gruff man even under all the hair and tattoos his good looks and muscles can't be hidden. But she is shocked when he tells her his name. Why would a billionaire need to marry a stranger?
This book is action-packed and full of danger. Both Silas and Lyla are keeping secrets about their past and the reasons they need this marriage. This is a steamy hot forced proximity romance with unexpected twists that will have you turning the pages. Highly recommend.
INCREDIBLY FASCINATING!! From the moment you start this book you won’t be able to put it down. Silas and Lyla’s story has ALL the feels and then some. A marriage of convenience, one bed, angsty and a heck a lot SPICY!
There just something about damaged and broken souls that feels like an anchor piercing your heart and has it bleeding for these characters. Silas ran from an abusive, cruel and depraved uncle when his father failed to protect him. Living the simple life hidden in some secluded woods for the last fifteen years, his life is disrupted by his family lawyer, when he comes to tell him his father has died. To inherit he must marry.
Layla needs help with a family situation. Together Silas and Lyla will discover they need each other.
When a near death experience has Silas rethinking his marriage to Lyla, she decides to show him, that the chemistry between them is something real. That he can count on her to stand by his side and fight for what is rightfully belongs to him and take down his uncle. Silas may have been a weak young man when he ran from home but his uncle will now be facing a man.
Let me just say Silas is the rough, protective and HOT book boyfriend we all love and want.
So if you’re looking for a story that is profoundly interesting, deeply intense and very spicy, you’re going to be tremendously delighted by Silas and Lyla’s engaging, passionate and fascinating story. These characters will consume you with their story filled with twist and turns, intrigue and triumph. BTW if you’re a dog lover you’re going to love WHISKEY. Silas’s best friend is the best ever. To say I enjoyed this book is an understatement. It is REMARKABLE, EXHILARATING and HEARTWARMING! Congratulations Gwyn🙌🏻Silas and Lyla’s story is one of unconditional love, resilience and strength.
Lyla needs money and becomes a Mail Order Bride as a second to last resort. Silas needs a wife ASAP, and the urgency of their situations has them matched. But there is a difference between need and want, and Lyla finds herself almost alone on a mountain with a man who doesn't want her there. Both have secrets neither wants to share. I've never seen a cover closer to my mental image before. Lyla is a great character, sensitive and caring, hardworking and loyal. Silas is deep. Gorgeous, tattooed and grumpy. The spark between them takes time, and the flame burns hot and fast, but gradually, their relationship develops. As the secrets emerge, each learns more about the other and themselves. This is a brilliant story, carefully crafted and cleverly plotted. The denouement is perfect, not rushed, and eagerly awaited. This is a story to savour, and it will stay with you.
I absolutely loved the first book in the series, but this one was not it. Even my favorite marriage of convenience and secluded mountain man in a cabin tropes couldn't save this. I really like the premise, but the story just fell flat. I didn't feel the chemistry at all between these two characters, and Silas was so annoyingly inconsistent, he's like two completely different people in his POV vs. Lyla's POV. The writing was kinda cheesy, and some of the legal elements were so ridiculous it was laughable, and tbh, after a while I was just bored.
This book was so good. I was initially scared to read this book, because I’ve never read any of the other’s in the series. The book is described as a stand a lone and I can verify that it in deed is🫶🏻. Now I will be going back to read those, until the next arrives! I love how both the characters had secrets that you didn’t fully understand at first, it kept you reading!! This book has soo many things going for it! Hot guy ✔️ Secrets ✔️ Steamy scenes ✔️✔️ Adorable German Shepard ✔️✔️✔️
Romance trope: mail order bride Series: Lumberjacks in Love Length: 374 pages
Plot: Silas has been content to live as a mountain man, solitary and safe. But now that his father is dead and his evil uncle is trying to take over the family company, he needs to reappear in his former life. The only problem is that his father's will requires that he be married. Lyla needs money, quickly, to take care of a family problem, so she enrolls as a mail order bride, and is swiftly matched with Silas. They agree to a marriage in name only, but those conditions very quickly change.
Commentary: Of course the attraction is instant, and of course he's holding back, trying to protect her by not giving into the attraction. That's standard. There's was a bit of darkness and conflict with Silas's backstory, although I don't think Lyla's backstory was as dramatic as I thought it was going to be. Cute animals - they always make a story better (if used well).
Billionaire Lumberjack’s Bride by Gwyn McNamee delivers that delicious blend of grit, passion, and emotional cleanup-on-aisle-five that makes a romance reader lean in and say, “Alright, hit me with the heat and the heartbreak.” And oh, does it deliver. This isn’t your glossed-up billionaire fantasy—it’s a rugged, sap-stained, mountain-forged love story that swings harder than an axe on a cold January morning. Right out of the gate, we meet a man who has everything except the one thing he actually wants: freedom from the family empire and the strings attached to it. He’s holed up on his mountain retreat, living the kind of bare-bones lifestyle that HR would flag as “highly unscalable.” He’s running his own personal wilderness startup—with zero interest in mergers, acquisitions, or, frankly, a human company. Then comes the ultimatum: marry or lose everything he’s built. Cue the mail-order bride service—peak operational efficiency for a man who’d rather wrestle a bear than mingle at a cocktail party. Enter our heroine. A woman backed into a corner with no good options left on her life dashboard. She signs on for a marriage of convenience, expecting a cold arrangement, maybe awkwardness, maybe isolation… but certainly not the slow burn that starts crackling like a wood stove the moment she steps inside that one-room cabin. The chemistry? It simmers. Like iron in the forge. He swears he’ll never touch her. She swears she’s just here to survive. But shared space has a way of peeling the armour off two wounded souls, and soon they’re knee-deep in feelings they did not forecast in the quarterly projections. McNamee doesn’t just write steam—she writes vulnerability with teeth. The mountain becomes its own character, forcing growth, confession, and connection. Watching these two slowly thaw toward each other is like watching trust take root in rocky soil—messy, stubborn, and all the more beautiful because of the struggle. And when their “strictly professional partnership” starts to blur into heart-pounding, breath-stealing reality… oh, it’s game over. In the best, most KPI-shattering way. If you love reclusive billionaires with emotional baggage, heroines who rise from the ashes, forced proximity that actually works, and that sweet spot where broken hearts become battle-hardened partners—it’s time to log this book as required reading.
I had never read a Lumberjack Romance until Gwyn McNamee’s Lumberjacks in Love series, and these will now be my new obsession, especially when they have reclusive, grumpy billionaire lumberjacks like Silas Bolton. It’s also the first book I’ve read that has it where the MMC uses a Mail Order Bride service to find himself a wife. It was the only way he could find a wife because he’d secluded himself for fifteen years and rarely spoke with people. He tended also to scare people. Gwyn McNamee definitely hooked me from the beginning, and I had a hard time putting down my Kindle because I needed to know why Silas hid himself and why he was upset that he had to marry Lila at first, especially when his late father’s lawyer told him he had to find a wife.
Once I found out Silas’s backstory, I knew it was going to be an emotional one, and it was going to break my heart. I knew it broke Lila’s heart, too. Silas needed to find someone like Lila, who would push his buttons and make him open up. She also made him face the problems that he was running from, even when she came face-to-face with the man who had Silas running away fifteen years ago. Sila may have been a grump at first and confused with Lila, but this man wouldn’t let anyone harm his wife. Even his dog, Whiskey, took a liking to her, which surprised Silas because his dog was very judgmental with people.
I’m so glad I decided to read this book and now to read more Mail Order Bride books after reading this one from Gwyn McNamee. Also, I need more authors to put animals in their books, especially dogs like Whiskey. I’m an animal lover and I love when dogs like Whiskey star in the books because it just melts my heart, especially with how protective Whiskey is of his human best friend and his new wife. Sometimes, the animals steal the show from the characters, and Whiskey will definitely be a fave after reading this book.
I give this book 4.5 stars and can’t wait to read more in this series from Gwyn McNamee.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
First of all I want to say that I read this book has part of group of story's has Falling for my Wife and Billionaire Lumberjack 's Bride was the story (part of twelve storys, different authors) and if I have got to do do a review at the end,I won't get the names or story's straight. So here goes! I love this story,it was heart wrenching, filled with love and promises. Silas was hard shelled mountain man with a big secret, Lydia had a secret too but it needed money and the only way she could do it was become a Mail Order Bride which she did to Silas, she almost backed out but they did become man and wife but his grumpy ,grouchy self almost cost him his wife, finally she was breaking down his walls and they were making headway. But Silas had to go back to the city to save his father's company and when he was eighteen he said he was never coming back. They are back in the city and Silas is in front of the broad and now his Uncle Martin is the head of the company, Silas is trying to save his company but his uncle brings up Lydia's secret and she passes out and it gives them a week more to prove his point and now Lydia has to tell her secret, she has a brother who is in trouble.Since they have a week's delay, they decide to hunt for any proof that Ronald ,Silas's lawyer maybe left(he mystery died)It was hard but Silas and Lydia went to his child home and searched but so far nothing but he remembered something about his father's office and they searched it and they found something that his father had hidden,so in front of the broad he gave proof but he could see what he had to do and he did to each broad member, that his uncle was a sick man who treated him like crap and almost killed him.He got his uncle outside and Silas and Lydia handled her brother is trouble. You see Silas's walls fall around when he was around Lydia and this story had a very happy ending for both Silas,Lydia and even her brother Joey! I just loved the dog who was a traitor when Lydia was around, even the goat Billy was loveable!
𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤’𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 is the third book in the Lumberjacks in Love series by Gwyn McNamee, featuring a spicy and emotional marriage of convenience romance for Silas and Lila. He’s a reclusive billionaire who escaped a nightmare as a teen 15 years ago, and she’s a woman with nowhere else to turn. When the family lawyer comes with news that it’s time for Silas to fight the demons of his past, he learns that he needs a wife in order to proceed. The fastest solution is a modern day mail-order bride service, where he’s matched with Lila, a beautiful woman with plenty of secrets of her own, who readily agrees to a business-like agreement in exchange for money. What happens when their fake relationship starts to feel real and the attraction ignites between them? Will their secrets doom them before they can really start something?
This was a beautifully written tale of two broken souls longing for that one person to be their soft place to land and their fierce protector. Whether the scars were physical or emotional, both their stories were heart-wrenching, haunting, and shocking, but added such dimension and strength to the characters. There’s just so much to love about Silas’ journey. He’s like a phoenix rising from the ashes, but he couldn’t do it without the energy he gets from her love and support. He does the same for her as well. I laughed at their banter, cried at times, swooned, blushed when they turned up the heat 🥵, and felt my jaw drop with some of the twists and turns! As a German Shepherd mom, Whiskey stole the show for me in so many scenes! Such an amazing dog! Don’t miss this riveting story about finding freedom from the chains of the past! I’m hoping we get Joey’s story someday!😉
I received a free ARC, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶.5
I did finish this so I almost gave it 2 stars but it is pretty ridiculous. Suspend any reality reading with this story. They both must marry with her being a modern mail-order bride in a really unbelievable plot. The hero is horrible at the beginning and very immature.
He is a mountain man and reclusive and the heroine reaches his heart and changes him forever with love... sound sappy? Yes, it really is. There is even her rescue at night in a t-shirt she was wearing during the day; but she almost succumbs to hypothermia where she is so helpless and he rescues her and is so protective. Sappy enough for you? Of course, the plot thickens because they both have mysteries that they won't reveal to each other. But luckily all is well because she is a damsel in distress to protect someone.
Then don't get me started on the sadistic uncle and a 17 year old young man taking the abuse and never letting anyone know and no one stepping in to protect him. His return after 15 years and the deaths are just far fetched. His cussing at the board meeting was not classy and the uncle is a cliche villain.
The steamy scenes were over the top and way too detailed for me. And the hero was a recluse of 15 years who I guess was a virgin because he was so damaged from the abuse but had billions but lived in as a backwoodsman? The book was filled with ridiculous and beyond belief unrealities, which had me rolling my eyes. The ending is even more sappy and full of cuss words in a church, again tasteless. This author is on my do not read list.
Billionaire Lumberjack’s Bride was a very good story. I really enjoyed the plot it was interesting and kept me flipping the pages wanting to know what happened next. It flowed very well and the characters were great. It made you feel the emotions the characters where going through as each event happened it flew off the pages from the anger, to the pain to the love. Whilst this is the third book in a series it can be read as a complete standalone. I really loved Lyla as a character i thought she was very strong and whilst she’d had a hard life she didn’t let it bring her down. She fought for those she loved even when it seemed an impossible task, she found a way and just kept going, she was very inspiring to me. Silas was also a very good character. His past had obviously shaped him and whilst he’d let it effect him to a degree he’d also used it to find his happiness, where he was comfortable as a person and found what, where and who he loved to be. I think it takes great strength to do that. Their story, their love was done very well and i think that the way they stood up for one another and just had one another’s backs when everything hit the fan showed how much they loved one another and where willing to do for one another even if it put them in the crossfire, they where willing to sacrifice and put themselves in harms way for the other. I do think some things could have been fleshed out a bit more but it in no way affects how great this story is, Gwyn has done a fantastic job.
This is a standalone with a HEA and no cliffhanger.
Silas needs a wife and Lyla needs some fast money. The solution is to get married.
Silas is a billionaire heir, living off the grid on a mountain - he was so troubled and angry at the world, choosing to avoid everyone. I don't think he realized how lonely he was.
Lyla's trying to prepare herself for whatever her new husband may ask of her.
This book follows Silas as he tries to deal with his past, and reluctantly confronts an uncle who wants to take over the family business. Lyla is determined to try and make the best of the situation, but she is keeping a secret as to why she needs money and that doesn't come to light until later in the book. The beginning was a little slow to start but once we get about halfway, things really start to pick up.
There's some mystery surrounding them both, a lot of pent-up sexual tension, and an element of danger with what they are trying to achieve. It takes them (quite rightly) a little while to trust one another, but once they do they become a great team.
These two really needed each other, they have an instant attraction but both resist. Once they start to talk to each other sparks start to fly.
You will be rooting for these two to stay together for real right from their first meeting.
- fake/arranged marriage - forced proximity - reclusive billionaire mountain man - rogue goat - withheld information - past abuse
I loved Silas and Lyla's story. Silas ran away from home as soon as he turned eighteen to escape the abuse he was receiving. Fifteen years later, his past comes back to haunt him, and he needs to get married. Ronald hands him a mail-order bride service so Silas can find his bride quickly. Lyla also uses the same service since she needs money in a hurry. Before she knew it, Lyla was heading to Silas' cottage in the middle of nowhere. She is surprised to see the cabin Silas lives in, considering he has money to pay her advance. Lyla finds herself helping Silas around the property since she prefers to do something other than sit around doing anything. Silas is determined to keep her at a distance. He doesn't need or want a woman in his life. Circumstances do the opposite, and he finds himself he didn't think he'd be doing ever in his life, caring about someone. Lyla will be there when he has to face his past, but it will all backfire. Will they ever get their HEA? I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. If you love a Billionaire romance, enemies to lovers with some angst, you will enjoy this book. However, this book may not be for everyone, so heed the author's warnings. Although this is Book three in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Once I started reading, I found this book hard to put down, and it was a book hangover for me.
- Marriage of convenience - Billionaire romance - Only one bed - Scarred and tattooed MMC
Wow, this book is an absolute emotional powerhouse. Both Silas and Lyla have had difficult lives. Differing circumstances lead them to each other by way of a mail order bride agency.
Silas has been hiding in the mountains of PA for the last 15 years, thinking no one from his family knows where he is. One day, he sees a fancy car make the turn to his mountain home...and knows he has been located. He is presented with an opportunity to right some wrongs, but needs a bride as part of the plan.
Lyla is in desperate need of a lot of money...fast. She finds herself at the mail order bride agency having quite the dilemma on her hands. She makes the decision to go through with the marriage so she can try to fix her situation.
Their first meeting is tense, but as Silas and Lyla cohabitate, they can no longer deny the intense chemistry between them. But what will Lyla think of Silas when she finds out more about his past?
This book pulled at every one of my heartstrings. The characters were so real to me. I will be thinking about this story for quite a while.
The author mentions in the novel that the book deals with sensitive subjects that could be triggers for readers. She then say to go to her website to find out the trigger warnings. Only to find through another link that the book contains descriptions of child physical and emotional abuse, as well as attempted sexual assault. That information should’ve been in the books description and on the page where she warns about potential triggers.
The novel was written in first person point of view, it should’ve been written in third person. The author decides to tease readers about certain details in order to build tension for the big reveal at the end. Only it feels like a complete cheat. The characters spent so much time dwelling on the issues that it got repetitive. The big reveal should’ve happened for the readers a lot sooner with it being in first person.
There wear a few plot holes that didn’t make sense and weren’t logical.
The main male character was a jerk and treated her bad for most of the story.
Billionaire Lumberjack's Bride is the third novel in the Lumberjacks in Love series by Gwyn McNamee. This story is a journey about two people finding their way to each through some pretty unconventional means.
Lyla has found herself in a situation where she needs a large sum of money and doesn't even know where to begin to get it. She is headstrong and a hard worker, but she'll need a new level of strength for this next chapter of her life.
Silas has secluded himself from society as much as possible for the last 15 years. He only comes down from his cabin when he needs supplies or to sell them. When someone from his past shows up at his door one day, he gets some news he wasn't expecting, and he has to become a little more social.
I really enjoyed this novel. The suspense is killer, the characters are wonderful, and the connection between Lyla and Silas is developed beautifully. It's another great edition to this unique, but sexy series!
The recluse lumberjack that everyone turns away from in town due to being afraid, is used to being his own boss, doing what he wants and being left alone. He lives so far up on the mountain that his privacy is guaranteed until he gets a feeling in town that his oasis has been found. Arriving to see a blast from his past with an ultimatum that makes his stomach turn and blood boil, he realizes he has no choice but to do as asked
Lyla needs help and quick! She needs an impossible amount of money and no idea how she can get it. She finds a way to get the money and she swallows her pride and fear and accepts the deal.
What happens when you’re forced to live in close quarters with someone who refuses to open up? Refuses to talk to you? What happens when fear overtakes and you’re forced to face and accept what’s happening?
To find out, you have to read this amazing book!! Filled with secrets, angst and love!!
And Mrs McNamee did it again! Can we just start from a wow? I had the pleasure to read several of her books, and each one hooks you from the beginning. Side note, but you'll thank me later: Make sure you start it in the morning. Otherwise, you may not be able to put it down and spend the whole night with Silas and Lyla. And no, you'll not be disappointed because this book worth the sleepless hours between laughter, screaming at the characters, and feeling all their emotions. What happens when you're short of time to find a wife? Otherwise, you may lose your father's inherit? Silas has found the easy answer with the order mail bride. A marriage of convenience with no strings attached, but he wasn't ready for what would have happened. Lyla, on the other hand, needed money to save his brother and quickly. What was supposed to be a simple act ended up with more than what she walked in for. Get ready for this book because it's simply perfect!
This is the third book in the Lumberjacks in Love series and it is one emotional read. Two souls living a life become intertwined in the most unorthodox way realizing that life puts people and trials in one’s path for their betterment. Silas is a man who has been broken down by the abhorrent treatment of his father and left the fold as soon as he was able to forge his own path. Lyla is a woman thrown into a storm of another’s making that she does what she must to get what she needs. When these two collide, it is game on and the longer they stay in each other’s orbit, the walls that they each built up start coming down slowly. Ms. McNamee has penned a beautiful storyline filled with twists and turns and a special German Shephard named Whiskey that anyone would love to have in real life. This is a perfect example of finding the one that makes you better and soar to heights you never thought you could reach.
This book is amazing! I loved the banter, dialogue and push/pull between these characters.
Both Silas and Lila are a bit broken and facing unwanted circumstances. Although they don’t want to be together…it’s the best/only solution at this point.
Their initial meeting is tough…my heart was a little broken for Lila. But she pulled up her boot straps (literally) and found her way to live on the mountain.
Silas fled to the mountain many years ago for good reasons. He is a growly, grumpy, hard man but deep down he just needs someone to love him…for who he is.
This book will make you laugh out loud, swoon and hurt your heart a little bit. There is a turning point in their relationship that is so amazing and beautifully written.
Love the Lumberjacks and their badass women who steal their hearts!
Silas and Lyla are thrown together not by choice but out of desperation, each one to deal with some sort of problem or crisis in their life.
This encounter is very turbulent at first, frustrating times for both MC’s. But then they have to be each other’s only backup, and that makes their bond develop.
Silas is all grumpy and closed off, living away from everyone and anything than reminds him of the secrets of his past.
Lyla is mostly afraid at first and uncertain of the outcome that this effort she’s made to make her problems better, but she embraces it head on and tries to breakdown Silas walls one by one.
This story is very different and in a good way. I have not read something similar to it, with all these twist and turns keeping you in suspense, just wanting to know what happens. And that makes the outcome so much more interesting and rewarding.
That was my second book by this author and I enjoyed it apart from all the inner monologue. Now, one week later I read another more books of this series and I am very disappointed: all three books follow the same pattern: heroine arrives on the mountain, has to stay bound by some contract or threat, hero does not want her there, medical situation, they get closer and solve the mystery/threat, problem together. There is a lot of inner monologue going on in the hero's and some in the heroine's head, always repetitive, about prior failures, regrets, and curses but without any information or hint what that might be. The author draws it out and that was quite frustrating for me as a reader. Otherwise there was a lot of suspense, slowly growing affection, and a lot of suspense wether they will succeed overturning the vicious uncle.
Billionaire Lumberjacks Bride is out into the world and trust me you need it!!!
Oh my god Silas Bolton just makes me swoon! I love him so much! This started out as a marriage of convenience for both Silas and Lyla but there is nothing better than the man who didn’t want to fall in love, falling head over heels! Even better when he gets all “Take your fucking hands off my wife.”
The dedication for this book sets up the emotional amazingness that you’ll see: “To everyone who has lived with their scars and turned them into something beautiful.”
Both Silas and Lyla have their reasonings for going into this mail-order bride situation but when they finally open up to each other it was the best!
Loved Silas and Lyla's story. These two together were amazing. Both have secrets and Silas has been holding onto them for long and now that Lyla has popped into his life he's beginning to see that their is more than the life he's been living on the mountain. Desperate people do silly things like hire a bride, but when it comes down to fixing things, it's the only solution for both of them. Little did they know that a fake relationship could turn into so much more. Hiding for most of his life running from his evil uncle Marty who is disgusting and repulsive and deserves everything he's got coming. It's a grump meets sunshine and roses. Lyla begins to break down the walls Silas has had up for so long to see the real Silas. Such a great read and can't wait for the next Lumberjack!
This story was so much more than I expected. I thought it was going to be about a reclusive billionaire living on a mountain because he hated being rich. While in some ways that was true, there was much more that drove Silas to that life than just not wanting the reclusive lifestyle.
Silas' father has died and he now has to marry to ensure his inheritance. He decides to use a modern day mail-order-bride service. Layla needs money and being a bride is better than anything else she comes up with. While she and Silas have instant chemistry, they both have too many problems in the real world that they have to deal with. Together they discover love and ways to help each other find a new path.
This is the third book in this series but the first I read. It was a complete standalone with a HEA.
Silas and Kyla are fire! The beginning of the book starts a little confusing, but then as it progresses, we get the bigger picture of why Silas was up on the mountain in the first place, and what sent Lyla up there. It was extremely emotional to read about what’s up Silas up the mountain. And why he disappeared from life at just 18 years old. I was hard to read about the abuse he took and why he covered his body and tattoos. As for Lyla, she takes a desperate situation that she’s in and decides that she’s going to make the best of it, even though she’s scared out of her mind at being so far from civilization upon a mountain top. I really enjoyed reading this book. and look forward to reading others from this author. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! I didn’t see how this story was going to play out. Silas was so angry, and for good cause. Lyla was stuck in a situation desperate to find a way out. I loved that she stood her ground, and in turn he can’t help but fall for her. This book had some dark themes, and my heart was broken for him. Lyla had always worked hard, and I loved that he found that inspiring. I loved that she made him see the world around him.
I also loved the dog. Every time he went to Lyla I found myself grinning. Then we had Billy causing trouble. I loved that they both talked to the animals. I do love that animals just seem to see what we can’t.
This book is Silas and Lyla’s story and it will not disappoint.
Ohhhhh my broken Silas. My moody Lumberjack. He is tough while dealing with his demons and just wants to be left alone.
Lyla is in desperate need of help and her only solution was to become a mail order bride.
But when these two get together it is anything but paradise in the beginning. But once they cross the line the spice is off the charts and the both help each other deal with their situations and finally become a dynamic duo.
This book will have you going through all the emotions and I mean ALL the emotions that you won’t be able to put it down until you see if the get there HEA.
Silas lives in seclusion on the mountain but needs to marry to get his inheritance. Lila needs money so she signs up to be a mail-order bride. I loved the way the author brought Silas and Lila together and how they brought out the best in each other. Their journey of love took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I loved every twist and turn along the way. I was completely captivated by their story and I was cheering them on to get their happily ever after. Billionaire Lumberjack's Bride is book three and a great addition to the Lumberjacks in Love series. I can't wait to read the next book in this fabulous series.
