We all read about the terrible judgements of God that are to come upon the earth in the last days of God's justice against the wicked. To some, it would appear that many of the current events now happening around us are those very events which were long ago prophesied and would come just prior to the promised Second Coming of Jesus Christ in power and glory. Others believe the prophetic word to one degree or another, but believe the Coming is still many years away and therefore of no concern or consequence to them. There are those who also believe m but they are so very busy in the daily troubles and concerns of modern life that they just don't take the time to stop and consider. Besides, life... though hard and sometimes difficult, is generally good, so why worry? Still many others dismiss the very same events with nary a second thought, passing them off perhaps as coincidence, or just a jumbled mass of old idle threats intended to scare ancient believers... anything but the fulfillment of the writings of ancient men inspired by God with the gift of seeing the future and describing these events to us... both as a means of demonstrating and testifying that Jesus is verily the Christ the same who was crucified in ancient days and who is soon to appear in glory as promised , and as a means to help those who believe and are watching, to prepare themselves and their families in order to avoid much of the foretold calamities. It is my belief that if one analyzes the Biblical word concerning these ancient prophecies, that there is a common consistency and order running throughout them. This brief study is an attempt to list these events in the order that the Bible suggests, analyzing them briefly, and then compare them to recent and current events. The result I think adequately speaks for itself.
Forget what you read in the Left Behind series. This gives it to you straight. It is a great treatise on (strictly) Biblical prophecy of the last days. Young sticks to what the Bible actually says, and overlays events of the last few decades onto the Biblical timeline to put things in very interesting perspective. I think his conclusions about where we are in the last-days chronology are well-reasoned and at least as accurate as anyone else's. He illuminates each scriptural passage with reminders about how our daily news correlates with predicted events, and with some fascinating insights and examples. There is also excellent counsel here for those who would like to survive long enough to be present at the Lord's coming.
