4 Falling Stars

What a great concept for a book, I loved that Corinne had the balls to do what she did. I get that her friend was egging her own. But I don’t really think Corinne would have done it if she didn’t want to. I believe being hurt by her ex fiancé, she kind of needed to shake things up.

Everett kind of surprised me by saying yes. But I think secretly he needed to shake things up as well.

I loved how they got to know each other and how it grew in to more. What a great love story. I can’t say enough good things about this shortish listen. It was about healing but healing together and standing on your own. I kind of loved that.

I will say I was a little apprehensive with the narrator at first, because I would have figured a woman would have narrated this story. But in the end I enjoyed it immensely.

Not Really A Review.. I won this book from another site. I had entered because it was touted as a "romance".
Not so, romance is misty, understated and yes, romantic.
This book is erotic, sex taking the place of plot.
Guess my age (72) might color what I believe is romance, but this just wasn't.

Okay folks…this book is for readers 18+. I write open door sex scenes. Wide open! Like, you’ll be right under the covers, in the chair, pinned against the wall, etc. with my heroines. You get the point. This is not an opportunity for a bonding moment between mother and daughter. Well, unless you roll like that. Personally, I don’t. My mother will read this, but we will forever pretend there is no sex in it. She’s a virgin, I’m a virgin. We will dwell in blissful ignorance. But I digress. If open door sex scenes aren’t your jam…don’t buy this book. Don’t be that person who buys the book despite this warning and then slays me in the ratings because you didn’t follow instructions. This work contains explicit language. Again, if this offends you, this is not the book for you. I don’t drop f-bombs every sentence, but you will find some colorful exclamations. Now, if you’re like me, and like sexy geeks, travel adventures, humor, and hot romance…this is the story for you. Enjoy!

Review:

Casey Hagen, Falling In Fiji is a sweet romance that takes us on exciting adventures in Fiji while two stranger fall in love. Sometimes I take a story personally. This story became personal when I heard my television in the background talking about the devastation of the Fiji Islands from Tropical Cyclone Winston. My heart and prayers go out to all the people affected by this storm.

The plot of this story is a fun romance. You can’t help but respect Corinne Anderson, Picking up her life and propositioning a total stranger, Everett Harden to join her for a week in Fiji. You also can’t help but fall in love with sexy, romantic, geek, Everett Harden as they fall in love exploring Fiji. There is an instant attraction between these two characters. The chemistry gets more intense as you turn the pages. This book is hot, but it isn’t the in your face constant sex that you see in other books. The pacing is fast. Most of the book is set exploring Fiji. The last couple of chapters bring you to a quick conclusion. I was a little disappointed in the ending. I felt that some things got resolved too smoothly and quickly. The characters learned to overcome some fears, and make changes to themselves and the other facets of their lives. Overall it was a quick read filled with humor, emotions, sex and taking chances.

Loved this book. Sweet, touching, and laugh out loud moments..

When Corrine Anderson gets dared by her best friend to get a hot man at the bar known as Everett Harden to dance with her she takes it to Fiji.. Oh boy things get interesting..

Everett doesn't know what came over him to except Corrine's blunt and forward dare. But he does. Soon things get heated but not sure where it may go..

Highly recommend this book. So good.

The first three words I can use to describe this wonderful novel are steamy, sensual and sweet.
The author works you up to the edge, then makes you wait. She manages to keep you wanting a little bit more, and still enjoy the journey.

Corrine Anderson may technically be an adult but she has so much to learn about life -- and about making the best choices. Raised by a strict, controlling mother, while her father lived mainly at work, Corrine rarely acknowledged or followed her dreams. Her one compromise was her career as a designer for a prestigious jewelry company. Her parents would never approve of her creating her own jewelry line.
She even agreed to marry an approved man, a very poor match, until she discovers what he is truly like.
Her world shatters, but it is like an egg shatters to give birth.

On a date from her NOT mother approved best friend, Alexa, Corrine meets and accosts financial planner, geek Everett Harden. Handsome, intelligent, conservative geek, Everett. Life has not treated him well in the love department either. Corrine introduces herself by offering him a one week, all expenses paid trip to Fiji. To everyone's surprise, he agrees.

One of my favorite lines: Everett Harden was a powerful package, and if she wasn't careful, her heart would stumble right out of her chest and into his hands.
Followed shortly by Corrine exclaiming, "If we die, I'm going to revive you and kill you!"

This is a novel of discovering ones passion and choosing to live life on ones own terms. It is about facing fears and removing limitations.

Are you a hopeless romantic? If so, then Falling for Fiji is the perfect book for you! I’ve always been a huge fan of destination romance. You know the ones- where a random act plots two strangers together on the trip of a lifetime. Falling for Fiji is just that!

Falling for Fiji is the story of Corinne Anderson and Everett Harding and their trip of a lifetime. Feeling like her life needs a change Corinne decides to outdo her best friend’s dare and go for broke when he randomly asked stranger Everett Harding to accompany her on her botched honeymoon. Everett Harding is an overworked man and in desperate need of a distraction from life. So what else would you expect this entrepreneur to do when a beautiful bombshell offers a week alone with her in Fiji? Packing their bags, these two embark on a journey that changes the course of their forever.

Hagan does an amazing job at creating her first romance! Her story is best described as sweet meets sexy. It makes you smile as the characters connects grow and develop. You find yourself feeling Corinne’s empowerment grow and develop. Hagan’s novel is a story of discovering passion whether it’s in what you do or who you love. Her characters face their own fears and move past what has been burdening them for years taking hold of their own futures.

If you are looking for a quick read filled with romance and island dreams, then look no further than Hagan’s Falling for Fiji! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This was a quick easy fabulous read! I devoured it!

Corinne Anderson has just found out her dream fiancé has cheated on her... He was everything she thought she needed in a man. Devastated she decides to keep the honeymoon tickets and trade them in for a getaway in Fiji.

On a well deserved night out on the town after realizing her best friend can't go to Fiji with her, she doesn't know what she's going to do... but when her best friend dares her to ask the gorgeous Everett Harding for a dance she one ups her and slaps a Fiji ticket in front of him and walks away.

Everett decides her needs a little excitement from his strenuous accounting business and decides to show up for the Fiji trip... so what do you think happens when a geeky hot guy and a beautiful woman share a cabin in Fiji for a week? Well you are going to have to read it to find out!!!!

This was a great read. It pulls you in from the very first sentence and doesn't let you go til you finish!! I highly recommend it to everyone!

Everett is my new favorite book boyfriend. He's sweet, funny, sexy, and he loves the ever-living daylights out of Corinne. These two are prime examples of how everything in our past shapes who we are today and the pair of them have had some pretty awful past experiences. I adored how Everett gently coaxes Corinne to take chances and be fully herself. And how Corrine sees Everett for who he is and doesn't need to turn him into somebody else to be happy with him. I'm intrigued by the sisters stories and badly want to read those too.

This is book one in the Falling in Paradise Series by Casey Hagen

Meet a woman betrayed...
Meet the shy but beautiful Corinne Anderson. Corrine designs the most stunning and beautiful engagement rings on the west coast. Up until her engagement explodes in a truly spectacular fashion. With Corrine devastated, she then dares a sexy stranger to help turn her broken honeymoon to breathtaking in just a week.

This little spitfire is Corrine, who then slaps down two airline tickets and of course a challenge. The challenge is to join her on a beach getaway where the sand is hot and the adventures get even hotter. Intrigued and so desperate for an escape even if it is with a beautiful stranger for a week so Everett accepts.

The adventures are unknown...
Fiji begins as a fancy-free trip, but with the new high-tech Adventure App running the show. Corinne and Everett find more paradise than either of them could imagine. There is just one problem, can their romance survive the extreme pressures of the real world? That's where reality bites. Then the adventure is hard to come by. Oh and also — there is no App for love...

Vacation in Paradise

What's not to love about a vacation in Fiji, even if it's with a complete stranger? After saving herself from a disastrous marriage to a two-timing sleaze ball, Corinne Anderson invites a sexy stranger to join her for the week in Fiji that was to have been her honeymoon. Everett Harden, stressed out by his demanding job as a financial wizard, throws caution to the wind when Corinne invites him to go along. In Fiji the fun begins and a budding friendship quickly becomes so much more. When they return, their commitment is tested by real world complications.
"Falling in Fiji" is a cute romance in a dazzlingly romantic setting. Character development is well done and the pacing allows the "love at first sight" to work but the plot is primarily Corinne and Everett's love affair in Fiji. Not a lot of depth but an enjoyable read that would have been better with more careful editing. Hard to believe a writer as accomplished as Casey Hagen would mix up words like decent instead of descent and gambit instead of gamut or if those were typos. One would hope they're just typos.

4.5 stars!! Makes you want to fall in love. NOW!! Great book. Sometimes all you gave to do is to summon up som bravery and add some adventure and amazing things can happen. I want to order me and Everett please. Strong, passionate, kind and understanding. He gives Corinne what her mind, body and soul desperately need. He's just and overall great specimen of a man. Corinne leaves her fiancé when she finds him gang banging with other executives from he office just days before the wedding. Her mother doesn't see the same effect and wants her to forgive Jordan. That relationship has messed Corinne up mentally. Her only support in her family comes from her sister. Everett works his magic and Corinne finds her way out of her funk on this spontaneous adventure. I didn't want to put it down. I also wanted more. The epilogue was quick so much thrown in to one chapter. It could have been spread out better I think. I read this book for an honest review. No cliffhangers and a HEA. Enjoy!

I loved this story.
Sometimes when life seems to be giving us no reason to be happy we do something so out of character and we find the happiness and peace we were looking for all along.
WhenCorrine calls off her wedding to her cheating fiance she is devastated because she feels her mother just doesn't understand. She actually wants her to forgive him! But Corrine's BFF Alexa dares her to ask Everett to dance. Corrine goes one further and asks him to join her on her new honeymoon to Fiji.
Everrett is tired of finding women who want to change him. he just wants to find someone who likes him for him. When he decides to take Corrine up on her dare both their lives are changed forever.
This is a wonderful storyline with those steamy scenes we all want. Both Corrine and Everett want people to just love them for themselves and both are worried that they won't ever find the person. When Everett realizes that Corrine is IT for him he must wait for her to realize it.
They hit a few bumps but they come out stronger.
This story will make you smile and have you believing in finding love in a place you never thought it would be.

Corrine Anderson breaks up with her fiance days before the wedding when she finds him with another woman (well, several as well as several guys.) She decides to go on her honeymoon anyways, although she changes the location. When none of her friends can go with her, she invites a stranger on a dare, who surprisingly agrees to go. Everett Harden is a hot nerdy accountant who is shocked when a stranger invites him on a trip to Fiji. He decides to take her up on her offer and they both get pushed out of their comfort zones. You have to suspend common sense when reading this book right from the start - you can't just give someone an airline ticket that they can use these days! Then there was the insta-love thing, getting over phobias thing, a mean mom ..... but Fiji sounds beautiful and I'd really like to go there!

This is an easy 5 stars for me. I was feeling a bit overdone with all the Bad Boy books I was reading and was committed to read another but I just needed a nice guy for a change. What a good choice this book was. By chapter three I was already in love with Everett. If you want just a genuinely nice story then absolutely check this one out, it's gorgeous.

**I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of this book**

Corrine Anderson has some extreme luck when it comes to love. Her fiancee turned out to be cheater and caused her to cancel their wedding, bad luck. As a consolation, she kept the honeymoon, changed the venue, and invited a hot guy from the club to go with her, very good luck.

This was a fun romantic trip to Fiji, and I can definitely see how someone could fall in love there. The story is very captivating and hard to put down once you start to read it.

I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I loved reading Corinne's and Everett's story. They complemented each other as a couple. The setting for the book was unusual as was the adventure app that they used to plan their excursions. The sex scenes are pretty steamy.

Overall, I thought this was a fun, entertaining romance.

I loved this book! It was a delightful read from start to finish, and I didn't want it to end.
The story is flirty and funny and sweet, and oh so freaking hot. The characters make you want to be right there with them and you root for them all the way.

Falling in Fiji, by Casey Hagen, was an enjoyable read full of surprises and fun in Fiji doing the unexpected. The characters grew in a short time within the story due to the circumstances laid out and it was a fun story with laughs included. It's a great start to the Falling in Paradise series.

I can't help but read everything this author writes, and I really LOVED Falling In Fiji! Corinne Anderson is a good girl that rarely goes against what her parents want, which doesn't leave much room for adventure. She designs the most beautiful jewelry for the rich, and is engaged to what she perceives as the perfect man. All of that is blown out of the water when she walks in to him having an orgy with several other men from his company, so she ends the engagement although her mother tells her to look the other way. Devastated, she goes out with her best friend, and after a couple of drinks, she dares a stranger to go with her to Fiji for a week. Everett Harden is a sought-after financial whiz kid, who is overworked. He's single because he can't find a woman who doesn't want to change him. When he's approached by a beautiful woman to take a trip with her, he decides why not?! As the two get to know each other, feelings quickly develop, but what will happen when they get back to the real world?

This story is sexy and sweet. The character development is good, with secondaries that I hope get their own stories. A fast paced, sweet, and well written story line flows smoothly. The chemistry is popping, finally leading to SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that I didn't expect. Well placed humor had me laughing out loud, and there are a couple of bumps in the road that I didn't guess beforehand. Casey Hagan has an easy writing style that drew me in from the beginning, and held me cover to cover, to where I devoured it in one sitting. Check out this quick and sexy read as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I always love a good love story - short or long and I was looking forward to this one. It disappointed me though with the whole set up, when Corinne hooked up with Everett and invited him to go on a vacation with her. Corinne didn't know Everett at all and I just think she had misunderstood her good friend's suggestions of being open-minded.

I'm not the one to tell the author how to tell her story but it would have been more believable if they had just met in the vacation spot. I also thought that their romance was very fast-paced and I found myself headshaking.

However, the story gets better and I begin to enjoy it after a while. What I loved about the book? It was funny! I found myself laughing from the beginning because of many quirky, akward and embarrassing moments. The conversations between the characters are humorous sometimes, so if you need to laugh, you'll get it here.

The narrator Russell Lord was not the right man for this book. There are so many great female narrators that could have done this one and it would have been so much better. I liked Russell Lord a lot, if it had been a crime novel or anything else with a darker theme, but not for a romance. I cringed many times with his female voices that sounded like cartoon voices and the male voices was very tense at times. This narrator doesn't have the voice of a lover boy either. The characters sounded a lot older than they were.

I saw this book as being about trust, love, believing in yourself and above all taking risks.
This was a nice little romance book with steamy spots toward the middle/end. It was nice reading a book where there is so much flirting and romancing going on and it wasn't based on sex. Well not till the end. Lol. Everett is a number crunching attractive man that mainly focuses on work. He is close with his family and has manners for days. Corrine loves to design jewelry and was about to walk down the isle with the man of her dreams. So she thought. She ends up exchanging her honeymoon tickets to go to Fiji. She's out at the bar when she sees Everett come in and sit down and start working while everybody is drinking and being loud. Her best friend Alexa dares her to live a little and start taking chances so she tells Corrine to go ask Everett to dance. She takes it up a notch and decides to invite him to Fiji. Usually Everett wouldn't even give a female the time of day because he's to focused on work but something about Corrine gets him hooked. The following day is when the flirting starts and he starts to romance her and show her how a female should be treated and cherished. This was a great read with no cliff hangers

Sweet second chance story, you find what your looking for when you least expect it. Quick, light, fun, entertaining and enjoyable story.

Sweet, humorous at times, flirty, sexual tension and steamy sex scenes, with a HEA.

Both Everett and Corrine were really good characters. You can't help but root for them as a couple.

Narration the good and bad…. Russell Lord does the narration. While he is by no means the worst narrator I have listened to, I don't think he was the right choice for this story. You can tell he is putting an effort into doing the story justice. He has a nice deep voice that would be great with the right book. While I did get used to his style of narration it still sounded a little off at times. Male character voice sounded dull/dopey occasionally, just not the voice you want for your hot alpha male. The woman's voices were too high pitched at times. To me his voice would be better suited to fantasy/magical or sci-fi military stories. With the right story I would listen to him narrate again.

This was the first book by Casey Hagen I have listened to. I will definitely be listening to more of her books.

So, first thing I notice is the Old School mother. You know, the ones who know their husbands cheat, but since they are rich, they let it slide. I hate those mothers and this one sure put you in a mood to fight on Corrine's side! "Real men don't cheat, Corrine." That's right, they don't. Corrine finds her fiance cheating and calls off their wedding. She does what any other sane woman would do! She still goes on her honeymoon. But instead of Paris, she goes to Fiji. On a dare, she takes a man she just met and holy crap! Sparks fly. This is a wonderful romance. I loved to see Corrine finally treated the way she deserved. Everett knew what he wanted and he went for it. He fought for Corrine. What more could a woman ask for? This is a feel good romance, about letting go of the past, standing up for yourself and finding a love you really deserve!
*At some times, the story did drag for me. It was a little slow, which is why it's 4 starts instead of 5. But other than that, this is an amazing adventure. You see Corrine open up, become daring, all at the hands of a man who from first sight, is intrigued.

This book is about being strong enough to overcome your fears & follow your dreams. Casey is a jewelry designer for a high end company but has always dreamed of going out on her own. After seeing her fiancee cheating on her & spending hours cancelling her wedding plans, Casey surprises a stranger by daring him to go on vacation with her. He has less than 12 hours to decide whether to go & make arrangements to be gone for a week. Everett is that stranger. He is trying to decide whether to grow his business & hire employees or to take a job offer he's been given.

This story is about taking chances, not playing it safe. Both Corinne & Everett have to learn to face their fears & make decisions about their futures. Casey does a good job of creating a plot that makes sense & flows simply. Her characters are complex & not without their flaws. This makes them more lifelike. I really enjoyed this book & you will to.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
