Took long enough but finally made it all the way through! 10/10 would recommend ;)

I would gladly like to say that I finished reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation all the way through!! Finished in 2024 :D But yes, obviously this book was a no brainer… amazing to read and understand God’s character and His Word ❤️❤️

I used the New Testament of this Bible version for my daily devotional reading the past few months. This is a pretty good version. Appropriately enough, I finished it on Easter.

I used a reading plan that had you read through the entire Bible in a school year.
It is always a profitable endeavor to read through the Bible.

Unquestionably the most important mind-renewing, life-transforming book I have ever read! For several years, I have been using a 52 week schedule that leads the reader through a different biblical genre every day. It is called the 52 Week Bible Reading Plan. So, if the books of Law are difficult for the reader, do not worry, tomorrow you will be reading History, the next day the Psalms, the next Poetry, then Prophecy, then Gospels and then Epistles. It is the best plan I have ever used for reading through the Bible in a year. It is the highlight of my day!

No other book exists like this one which speaks the Word of life. I used a Bible AP with daily reading that included a psalm for each day. It always amazes me how God uses a daily reading to speak to me, and it’s exactly what I need to hear for that time in my life. Praise be to God and to the Lamb!

ESV is the version I chose for my annual “Bible-in-a-Year” for 2026; and to shake the things up, I am using a free chronological reading plan from Bible.com called: “Whole Bible in 11 Months: Chonologically Thematic.”
If I could have only one Bible, it would be the KJV. However, I like to read a variety of translations, and ESV is one of the better options (in my humble opinion.)

Two months to read the Old Testament and 1 month to read the New Testament. And I have completely and utterly fallen in love with our great God and Creator, Lord Jesus! Now that I’ve read it cover to cover, I’m ready to take a deep dive into each book and theme.

Life changing. Will read again!

10/10 highly recommend no other text in all creation will surpass it

In regard to the version, a breath of fresh air coming from churches that read and preach NIV mostly. Helped me to see familiar scriptures and stories in a new light and its specificity with regard to servant titles and other word-for-word translations was both reassuring and grounding.

Along the way found a love for Bible Hub in its supportive commentary and for word studies in Greek and Hebrew. The Bible Project was also especially helpful for books in the OT bathed with history and the NT’s Revelation, along with concepts like the spiritual realm.

Will keep reading for years to come, i gather.

I really think this is the best modern translation. It always bugs me when people don't include certain passages because of 2 manuscripts found in the same abbey, but I get so many blessings from reading this book.

Greatest book ever written. If you are searching for truth, peace, and salvation…. This is it!

Obviously 5 stars. I started in John, then the first 5 and just kept going
