It was a battle for me, myself, and this is one book I found solace and hope and eventually freedom, in, as a teen. (then) The perspective of what sexual intercourse really is, and what are STDs and when and why true love can wait would probably be lost in our youngsters ears, if we preach, but books are quietly read, and explored so, this is one book, that helps me with real scriptures, even to this day, with even formulas as simple as not deceiving myself by thinking I am wiser than my aging parents, even in my adulthood, and authorship.
This book is not great. No, that's an understatement. This book is downright unaccepting, heretical, and rude. One of the ways I have deepened my relationship with go the most is through Yoga and Buddhism. Purity Under Pressure took an entire page to tell me that I need to denounce both of those. I'm sorry, but god doesn't fit in a little box. God works through everyone completely differently. Purity Under Pressure is the type of book that makes the decline of churches obvious.. God is everywhere, and all can reach him, not just those who fit the mold of perfection.
