Mike Strong has a face the bad guys like to punch. Valkyrie City is full of killers, mobsters, and thieves-and that's just on the surface. In the city's underbelly lurks something far worse. Generally, the citizens of Valkyrie City are blissfully unaware of the supernatural beings who live among them. Harvard professor turned soldier Mike Strong returned from the battlefield a changed man. The evil he encountered gave him powers he never thought imaginable. Now he's on a mission to rid his city of monsters, even if that means taking on a crime syndicate, a demon, and all the possessed contents of a haunted toy factory. But if anyone is it's Mike Strong. While he'll earn his fair share of bumps and bruises, you should see the other guy...
Joe Davison's work spans twenty-five years of writing, directing, and acting—and can be seen in the Netflix smash-hit Stranger Things…where he stars as Nerdy Tech in Season 2.
He has written over thirty screenplays and 6 novels: Team Adventure Club, Zoey Saves Christmas, Infinite Chaos, Death's Campaign, Shindy Shine, and The not so True Adventures of Sam and William.
Joe Davison has also directed 6 feature films, including Beauty is Skin Deep (available on Amazon Prime) and the upcoming Major Motion Picture, Sorority of the Damned.
He is also a complete clown who loves nothing more than a bit of comedy and a good joke.
Mike is assigned to a task and the mission leads him down to a dark path of action and physical fights. The chapters switch between Mike and Becky so readers gain both sides of the gritty story. There is also great insight behind their contrasting thought process and character. The narrative is fast paced and written in the present tense so readers read the narrative in real-time. A personal pleasant way to read since nothing in the future can be foreseen and readers learn what happens at the same time as the characters.

This is book 1 of the series Mike Strong for hire. This book is very detailed with the terrors of the haunting of war. This story has vampires, angels, and demons besides fight humans. I enjoyed this book and the detective feel of story. I do suggest that some parts of this book could cause triggers to some.
