Ostad Elahi was an Iranian Sufi mystic turned Judge who developed, over the course of a long and rich life, a powerfully spiritual approach to making sound. Essentially music as prayer and music as vehicle for divine moods. This book, by the French ethnomusicologist Jean During, explores the history and music of this amazing man.
