An ultimate guide to one of Marvel Comics' greatest superheroes traces The Incredible Hulk's forty-year career, with special emphasis on the latest developments and characters that will be featured in the upcoming full-length movie. 100,000 first printing.
I was hoping for more after having read two similar books on Iron Man and Wolverine. Both of those books provided plenty of depth of the character, allies, enemies and the major story lines. I was expecting more of the same.
At about half the size of the the other two books listed, I got about half as much information as well. For a character as old as he is, I expected more than half, or even full pages for some of the main characters and villains. For someone who loves comics and their characters and stories, I read very few actual comics. I definitely wished that there had been a more in-depth look at some of the major story lines.
A personal preference would have been to balance out the artwork a bit more between the early, middle and recent years. It felt very heavily weighted toward the early years, and the early artwork just doesn't connect with me as much as the later years.
It is still a good book, but not on par with the Wolverine and Iron Man guides.
A great review of the green machine. From not reading the comics as a kid, this was a perfect book for all the background information I could have wanted. Highly recommended for fans of The Incredible Hulk.
Hulk no es mi personaje favorito, pero la guía esta hecha de tal forma que todo te interesa, especialmente cuando aparecen más personajes del universo de Marvel, bastante bueno.
I loved this book dearly as a little child. I used to read and reread the villains page over and over again. as a Five year old, hearing about the hulk living in an alternate universe living on a desolate planet till the end of time, with no other lifeforms but him, Bruce Banner, and angry cockroaches was impactful, to say the least.
