Ce-și face omul cu mâna lui se numește lucru manual. Recunosc, a fost o treaptă peste Alcris dar tot jale și prăpăd.
Am vrut o fițuică să-mi mute mintea, ceva rapid, amuzant și fără bătăi de cap. Cartea este fără de toate, de la logică la bun simț.
Ea se trezește din senin însărcinată în trei luni. N-are simptome, nu știe cum s-a întâmplat. Ca fată de treabă ce se știe, pornește în căutarea tatălui. Îl găsește, este cel mai râvnit bărbat în viață, iar el cade lat cu bale numa la vederea ei.
Se căsătoresc, le ia un car de vreme să-și declare dragostea că deh, timizi nevoie mare, și în doi timpi și trei mișcări îi gata cartea.
Îmi amintesc că broșuricile astea erau în mare vogă în vremuri nu demult apuse așa că am reușit în sfârșit să-mi explic anumite lucruri.

my adventures continue while i try reading physical books more & keeping my eyes off screens as much as possible.
i have a lot of problems with this & nobody is surprised since it's an 80s romance. but man. i absolutely loved toby. probably the only quirky heroine i actually enjoyed.

I loved this book when I first read it, and I still love it now. Such a sweet story with a little spice, 1980s spice. The heroine is so funny, and the hero is just magical. A bit of a dreamy book, and not necessarily very realistic but more so than many books today.

One evening Toby Baxter takes one of her newly prescribed anti-depressants before going to a party. She arrives home 7 hours later feverish and in a fog. She awakes from wild nightmares and calls her doctor. She's had a bad reaction to the new medication and they change it. Three months later her gynecologist tells her she is pregnant. She can't remember anything from that time. The party was given by her friend's company so she contacts her trying to find out who she had been with. She remembers one guy but he says they didn't click and remembers her leaving with one of the company VPs, Jake Hammond. He is delighted to find her since she left his place while he was in the shower and had not given her name. He wants to be involved in the birth since he never figured to have kids because of a low sperm count and a failed marriage as a result. The story follows their getting to know each other and Toby learning to trust a man. She has been in therapy due to a childhood incident. This was an old keeper that I reread before weeding it out. Not up to my current criteria for keeper.
