He was a deadly operative, but she called him Daddy.
As a former military pilot turned security operative, Carter has always been in control. But when he falls in love with the enchanting and efficient Becky, his boss’s assistant, everything changes. His Daddy Dom comes out in force but holding the reins steady is challenging some days when Becky smiles so sweetly. Suddenly, he’s protecting more than just his clients - he’s protecting his heart.
Just as their relationship begins to deepen, it is first stalled by Carter’s secret, then Carter’s plane is sabotaged, quickly followed by attempts on Becky’s life. Carter gets firm but with danger lurking around every corner and Becky trying her best to solve the mystery on her own, Carter must rely on his skills and his team to ensure Becky’s safety because the danger may be closer than they think.
USA Today bestselling author of Contemporary and Historical Romances. I'm a proud Texan living it up in Alaska's beauty who loves to write both sweet and spicy romances.
My heroes and heroines can be found in this time or another, modern or historic, professionals or not. All include a little naughtiness, sternness, seriousness, a taste of suspense and a HEA.
I have always loved writing about sassy ladies and have done it for fun but never thought I could do it for other's enjoyment. It's my dream job and I hope I never come back to the real world.
While this is the sixth story in the Safe and Secure series, it will read well as a stand-alone. These stories revolve around the people that work for Reynaud and Associates and Becky has been with Jac since the beginning, working in his office as a personal assistant. Carter is one of the agents, and also their pilot. He and Becky are in a relationship, but it is on shaky grounds.
I liked the story, the mystery, and the suspense found in this action-romance. Several things happen, and it has the team concerned for one of their own, Becky. What starts as an impromptu visit by a man wanting to do business with the firm—to Becky overhearing a conversation is only the beginning. Becky is busy at work, Carter is away, and Becky is trying to assist her father with problems in his inventory for his work. But then several scary things start to happen—Becky is plowed under snow at the end of her driveway, and it doesn’t seem to be an accident. The more things that happen, the more the team must work on trying to discover why Becky has been targeted.
“If you hear anything or remember anything or know anything, you have to promise to tell us.”
I loved the characters and how they work as a team. No one dismisses things are happenstance and must take things in a calculated way to discover what is happening. Has Becky’s involvement in helping her Dad started this avalanche of danger?
“Extraordinary circumstances call for out-of-the-box solutions. Normal rules don’t apply.”
The good, the bad, and the ugly play their roles. Along with issues within the relationship between Carter and Becky. Not sharing issues leads to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and doubt. Insecurities from the past place stumbling roadblocks in their way, but it isn’t anything that can’t be worked out with open and honest conversations.
I love a story that has a great mystery, and most of it isn’t revealed until the end. Ms. Alyssa Bailey did a great job at keeping the pages turning, the mystery going, and a romance finding their happily ever after. There are many people from previous stories that play roles in this tale.
I felt like with this book I started on the backfoot. First off it’s labeled as “Friends to Lovers” but the main couple, Becky and Carter, are already in a relationship when the story starts. So much so they are talking about marriage and children and how they can’t agree on it and saying I love you. I know this is book 6 of this series so maybe the two were friends in one of those. But as of this book they are already lovers. Friends to lovers I think should refer to what they are when the current story starts. In the first chapter Becky tells us about all the girls from the other books and their partner but I still feel like I’ve missed something. Other than that. I liked the daddy dom aspect off the rip and how much Carter cared for Becky. After I struggle thought the first chapter the rest was easy to read.

This is book 6 of the Safe and Secure series. Although books can be read as standalone they are best read in series order.

Carter and Becky have a thrilling story with a very interesting mystery. I enjoyed that the mystery extends until almost the very end. Carter and Becky have an interesting journey in their relationship, at times it is rocky with the lack of communication and insecurities. This is a page turning read with fantastic emotion. This is a wonderful standalone addition to the Safe and Secure series.
This is a great addition to the Safe and Secure series. Becky is integral to Jac as his assistant. She is part of his family. When weird stuff happens to Becky, Carter gets serious about his protection. The two have their HEA, but the journey there is great to read.
I received an advance copy, and this is my honest review.

A simply riveting read, great addition to this wonderful series of great characters and scenario
This is the sixth story in this Safe and Secure Series, Becky has been with Jac since the beginning and has worked as his personal assistant. Carter is one of the agents and is also a remarkably fine piolet but since their relationship had been on shaky grounds things were not as good as they should have been.
I loved the interaction between the characters and what had started as her hearing a conversation by accident had this is the beginning of things at work being difficult. Cater is away and Becky is trying to help her father inventory difficulties and then there are some very strange and frightening things that have occurred and these have left her feeling very scared.
I loved the characters and the way in which the characters and their interaction had been written it was simply superb, this was a great example of the relationship between Carter and Becky, they have hurt feelings and had to overcome some dramatic events and worked hard to keep their relationship strong.
I loved the twist of this story that kept you guessing right to the very end and I am sure that you will feel exactly the same as myself.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This is the first story I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait for the next. The story focuses on the relationship between Becky and Carter and although this is the sixth book in the series it was still easy to read as a stand-alone. A security company run by dominating alpha males, add in the suspense of events happening to Becky and the scene is set. I particularly like the style of writing in that there was a meeting of the company staff to review of the findings which explained who had done what and how it all linked together.

This is the 6th book in the Safe and Secure series and this is Becky (Jac's personal assistant) and Carter (former military pilot/security operative) story. These two are in a relationship that has hit rocky ground due to the fact that there is a definite lack of communication! Carter is Daddy Dom who has been tested by Becky quite a lot. She is a little but denies it. Even though they have their problems, when Becky is in danger Carter, Jac and his people at Reynaud are there ready to protect her. So sit back and try to unravel the mysteries in this book all the while being taken on a roller coaster ride.

I really enjoyed this book it was a love story in the middle of a mystery and they both involve Becky. Carter’s Daddy Dom is tested more than once and although she denies being a little, Becky has many of the tendencies, they manage to resolve their differences, however, the threat to Becky is still there but Jac and his people at Reynaud protect her. There is more than one mystery and while it is a twisted journey, Alyssa Bailey unravels them all clearly and of course Carter and Becky have a happy ending.
Becky is in a relationship with Carter but why is he refusing to discuss having children. Then someone try to kill Becky using a snow plough. Carter and the other members of Jacquard and Associates need to protect Becky and find out who is trying to kill her.
This is a great story.

The suspense is great and keeps you guessing through every page. The romance is so hot it melts the pages. The ending is very surprising turning out to be someone not even on your radar. Great story in the series and look forward to the next one.

Carter has control issues. He wants everything in order. But Becky his bosses assistant is everything he's not. When he's around her he looses his control. This is funny and hilarious at times, but also sweet and a little steamy.

I have read the other five books in this series and it just keeps getting better and better. I loved this book and could not put it down! A great storyline, fantastic characters and a long-running mystery that continues almost to the very end.
