Book #1: I read this book in high school for a project and decided to reread it because I don't remember much about it. This book is pretty dark. It's about a suicide epidemic among kids. Anyone under 18 can be taken to The Program at any time. I'm writing this as I read and this book is pretty messed up. I think I remember the narrator telling us that 1 in 3 kids commits suicide in this book's world.
Started this book a little over a week ago - still not sure if I'll finish it. It's not super interesting to me at this point but I just really don't have anything else to read right now! As of now, I'm going to try to just power through it.
Finally finished this book! Sloane and James got back together in the end. They don't remember any of their previous relationship because of all their memories being taken from them but they came back to each other in the end. They are currently traveling to go meet up with The Resistance (a little cheesy, right?) and hopefully meet up with Realm as well. He got in some trouble for helping out Sloane so much and he had to flee as well, but alone.
While this was definitely a slow read for me, I did start the next book in the series. My expectations are not super high but if I enjoy the next book the same amount that I enjoyed this one, then I'll be happy.

Absolutely loved this book. I love dystopian themed books, movies etc. so when I saw this on the shelf I knew I’d love it. I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. Would highly recommend!
