Says the author: "I have discovered innumerable documents unknown to former biographers —between six hundred to nine hundred unpublished letters, for example, which throw new light on the Doctor's life". And M. Fay makes good his statement. Especially interesting are the parts devoted to Franklin's Masonic activities.

Found this to be one of the densest, most thorough books on Franklin. Painstakingly researched and condensed into one volume. Great biography.
