This 4-book series was compelling to read, as evidenced by the fact that I generally do NOT read series. Yet I kept reading since I already had the boxed set and I was interested to see what happened next. The characters drew me in, and the Game of Thrones type of flavor and plotlines kept me reading (but thankfully, without the sex and excessive gore of GoT that I skipped while watching the TV series). There weren’t annoying cliffhangers at the end of each book, which I much appreciated, and at the end most all of the plotlines were satisfactorily tied up. (Exceptions, unless I missed reading something crucial: what happened to the remaining dangerous Ulezi, and why didn’t the iron shackle placed on Stefan prevent him from turning into a dragon near the end?)

As others have noted, in the second half of Book 4 there were suddenly more typos.

This is one series I just could not put down, it is packed with action, dragon kings, shifters with magic called menti, an orphan bride bartered by the king himself and so much more. Politics are at play between the religious sects and the monarchy and all are out to gain power except for Luca who does not want to become king but is forced to take on the role. I have read and reviewed each book individually and I highly recommend this series with all its nail biting bits of tension, fear and torture at the hands of the sisters of the enlightened god and the very courageous women enslaved by them who rebel and make a break for freedom. A must read.

Pain and love

This book was a long read, but it had a good storyline. Even though you met many different characters, the main two were Reva and Luca. They were betrothed when they were young. But others intervened, and they were split apart. Reva goes through a lot of pain and suffering. While Luca is convinced he is dying. Unknown to them, they both were dragon shifters. Can they move forward and become who they truly want to be? Maybe together?

well done, touching story!

Great story, and hard to put down once you get started. Characters are very believable. The readers emotions will cover all the feelings of a well crafted story.

Wow

Just wow! The story was phenomenal. I would suggest though that the author go back and do some editing on the first part of the last book. There were quite a few misspelled words.

Remarkable

This complete series was intriguing, interesting and inspiring. I loved the way each chapter spoke through a different character in the story. I was engaged in reading these four books till the end. Each one was awe inspiring.

Engrossing Story

Well written story that engaged my imagination. The author created a world of characters fighting against each other because of unfounded prejudices. Well done!
