My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.
My mother’s B&B is hosting a Fright Night Festival for the entire month of October and since my bakery is out of commission I’ve opened up a booth there to sell my sweet wares.
But Not only is that lunatic, the Prankster, still terrorizing me, but a body turns up at the festivities. There are more pumpkins, candy, haunted hayrides, and ghosts than you can shake a magic wand at in Honey Hollow this time of year.
And just when I thought my honey-glazed doughnuts would be the talk of the festival, it’s a grim-faced ghoul stealing the show. But when I find a chilling clue hidden within my very own sweet wares, I realize that this Fright Night may just turn into my worst nightmare.
Can I sift through the madness, unmask the Prankster, and stop a killer before the final trick is on me?
Welcome to Honey Hollow—where the tricks are sweet, the treats are sweeter, and murder is just the icing on the cake.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see the dead—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.

Lottie finds herself running her bakery out of a stand at her mother's B&B after the Prankster destroyed most of her bakery. She is no closer to figuring out who the Pranster was, even though I had a pretty good guess for most of the book. There is the usual murder and she tries to solve it. I will say there was a lot going on in this book. A lot of characters to remember, along with whatever motive they might have had. The Raven didn't even really show up to help until about a third of the way through. I was glad that the usual Noah/Everett drama was missing. I do think Lottie needs to better focus on what is going on around her. She was constantly going off to do one thing, and then getting distracted by something else. How many people is Carlotta going to bring to town and all of them expect to stay with Lottie? It got old several books ago. I do think that someone needs to step in and stop letting homicidal maniacs run loose, just because they are someone they have known since childhood. When someone is really trying to kill someone, that person needs to be locked up. Lottie is always trying to downplay when someone is either mean to her, treats her terribly, uses her, or tries to kill her. There is selflessness and then there's a whole lack of self-preservation that seems to be missing. It seems to me that all of the murders have enough going on in these books, we don't need a side character adding more drama every time.
Our heroine can see the dead, but they never drop by to say something nice. Case in point, a dead body at the Halloween festivities is not going to help her sale her baked goods. Guess she better get to work before the trail grows stale.
This book is part of a long running series, but each mystery is written as a standalone. Feel free to jump in at any time.
This is a cozy mystery with a Halloween festival setting. Which would be a lot of fun if it were not for the murder. Who am I kidding? That is just the sort of thing we are looking for.
The story is well written and easy to read with a twisted little setup that is lots of fun. The characters are well done and appropriately nuts, and I really love our heroine who is just trying to keep it all together. The mystery was a good one and everything moved at a nice pace providing a very enjoyable experience. Overall, a really fun story and I look forward to visiting our heroine again.
Highly recommended.

I am really disappointed that I disliked this book because I had rated another of Addison Moore's books 5 stars ("Frozen in Fear Cruise"). This story had me so confused! There are too many characters mentioned, mainly in regard to past books in the series, and I felt like drawing an organization chart just to keep track. For giggles, I started counting the different characters mentioned to be sure I had my facts straight: There are 39 characters + 1 cat mentioned in the first 9 chapters!
This book's blurb talks about the fact that the pets of dead people come back to help solve their murder. As I said above, only 1 was mentioned in passing nearly 1/3 of the way through the book.
It's wonderful that this series is as successful as it is since this is book 48. I just wish that there would be more focus on the current story rather than trying to involve so many other characters.

It's been a scary Halloween season for Lottie Lemon, the Honey Hollow baker. She's been tormented by creepy, threatening notes from the "Prankster". And a long lost "relative" shows up unexpectedly as well as some old school friends of hers. Lottie's mom has transformed the grounds of her Bed & Breakfast into a Halloween extravaganza. It seems like everyone in Honey Hollow is there every night. Things are going great until there is a murder at the festival. There are quite a few suspects, including family and friends of Lottie. Lottie's determined to solve the case while Evertt and Noah are determined to keep her safe. Can they all find out who the Prankster is and find him/her before Lottie is attacked... I think you'll enjoy this book as much as I did. You can certainly read it as a standalone, but I think your enjoyment will be better if you get the chance to read the series.

Fright Night Chocolate Delight is the forty-eighth book in the Murder in the Mix series. Although this is part of a series the books have been written in a way you can read as a standalone without feeling completely lost. That being said, each book builds on the storyline. Lemon has a gift of seeing dead animal of those who will experience back luck soon, but lately deadly luck. Like all the books in this series, when Lottie sees a ghostly animal she knows death is soon to follow. It is October and all things spooky are busy in this frightening month. Lottie’s mom has the B&B set up as a festival with booths of goodies and fun-land for all ages. Unfortunately somebody used this happy time and made it truly frightening for one person as it was the last thing they ever did. Also there is more of the prankster and the sneaky warnings that become darker. This has Noah and Everett both extra guarded about everything Lottie is doing
In this book we find Lottie and the gang trying to figure out who the prankster is and why they have it in for Lottie. They are also in the middle of Halloween festivities, and of course a dead body or two pop into the mix of things. You would think Lottie would slow down some on the investigating being she is pregnant with Everette twins. Of course her love of solving a murder outweighs that and it almost gets her into more trouble then she can deal with.
This is a stand alone book but I say you really should read all the books in this series as they are all great and it is even better to read and get to know everyone.

Lottie Lemon is a baker in Honey Hollow, Vermont, who can see the ghost of deceased pets who come back to warn of their former owner’s impending death. Everyone is busy now with Lottie’s mother’s B&B hosting a well-attended Fright Night Festival during October. However, it seems the Prankster is continuing to terrorize Lottie when she finds Rusty Shadowood’s murdered body sprawled among the fallen autumn leaves. And a message from the Prankster pops up on her phone!
With Lottie investigating the mystery, and the “Prankster” still hanging around, this is bad news. Who is the Prankster and what could he or she want from Lottie? Will there be more victims if she can’t track him down soon?
This series is sooooo great! When Lottie sees the ghost of a raven, she knows that someone is going to die. And as usual, they have one of her desserts in his hand! So Lottie, Noah and Everett work together to figure out who the murderer actually was. In addition, Lottie is pregnant again, but this time with twins! As always, i love this series, but i still feel really bad for Noah... still think that Lottie should just be with both of them. I don't think anyone would actually be surprised and it might actually keep Cormack away from Noah! And the ending!!! Now i wanna know what that was all about! Lol Highly recommend this book and series!

Lottie Lemon bakes the sweets that delight everyone in Honey Hollow but she is dedicated to solving mysteries. She is almost ready to reopen her bakery after the Prankster destroyed it but, in the meantime, she is helping her mother host a Fright Night Festival for the entire month of October at her B&B. Everyone is in attendance, including the Prankster!
This book has everything I like in a cozy mystery. There are ghosts, annoying relatives, murderers, and animals. It ends with a cliffhanger but that’s ok since I intend to read more books in this series. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Love Addison’s writing , it’s fluent , immersive and compelling . Lottie Lemon has a rather peculiar gift. The prankster is still at large and Lottie and friends have been trying to work out what the threatening letters mean . Her mother’s B & B is to host a Fright Night Festival throughout the entire month of October. Since her bakery is out of action Lottie has a booth selling her wares . When there’s a murder at the festival , there’s quite the body count of suspects to muse over. But keeping Lottie safe is priority number one. Great characters , quirky town and an excellent fun story.

IT'S HALLOWEEEEEEEEEN!!!! Lottie and her family are neck deep in a great idea to celebrate the holiday all month long. So the house and grounds are decked out to scare and dare. Then an old nemesis reappears and this time he/she is threatening Lottie. The race is on to find this person as well as a murderer. Lottie just can't catch a break even being pregnant with twins. Fun times until the ghost start arriving. Fantastic story and full of fun and side tracks as the reader tries to keep up with the family dynamic!!.

For the month of October, Lottie’s mother has turned her B & B into a Fright Night Festival. They’ve gone all out with food booths, games, hayrides, hauntings, costumes and any other fright they can come up with. The festival is tarnished by a murder and the re-appearance of Lottie’s nemesis, the Prankster. Of course Lottie is right in the middle of the investigation! Can they figure out who the murderer is and who the Prankster is before anyone else gets hurt? Very well written, fun characters and the perfect Halloween read!
Fright Night Chocolate Delight is the forty eighth installment of the MURDER IN THE MIX Book series written by Addison Moore. This book has it all! Mysterious things going on, a boogie man if you will, humor, flirty Witt. I’m sure you will also enjoy this book as much as I did. You most certainly can read it as a standalone, but I think you will enjoy it more for the better if you get the chance to read the entire series.

Lottie is selling her bakery sweets at the B&B, getting closer with friends, tries to work out who is the Prankster and who is next in line, while two friends try to keep her safe. So much comedy, snark, danger, drama, twists, hidden agendas, and entertaining situations that you just can not close the book until done. Very addictive series that just keeps getting better.

This was the cutest book! It's funny. Lottie Lemon sees animals who have passed on. She lives in Honey Hollow. She is doing a festival at her mother's bed and breakfast, when a dead body is found. Of course being Lottie, she has to investigate. She thinks it's the Prankster but can she stop the Prankster? She's pregnant with twins, and really shouldn't be getting involved. But, it wouldn't be her if she didn't lol. It's a great quick read!
Another book in the Murder-In-The-Mix series that doesn't disappoint! With a murderer and a prankster on the loose, Lottie really has her hands full! Add in a twin pregnancy and the hormones are in overload. Noah and Everett are doing all they can to keep Lottie, the girls, and the gang all safe during the Fright Night Festival happening at the B&B. Will Lottie be able to run her baking goods at the festival, be the wife, the mom, and catch a killer? Escape into this great read to find out!
Even after 48 books, Lottie Lemon and crew are still keeping me entertained. Every story features a mystery to be solved and every book is light and easy to read. I love that I get all the feels with these books. I feel suspense, romance, danger and a bit of excitement. I just love that every book builds off the previous while still bringing something new and interesting to life. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more! Well done to the author!
Fright Night Chocolate Delight is a great, quirky read.
Lottie is back. It’s Halloween and everything is ready for the Fright Night Festival. This can be read as a stand-alone book but be aware that this is part of a series that does have ongoing storylines and recurring characters. It is well written and the characters are great, especially the ghost, furry ones! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to fans of this genre and anyone looking for a Halloween read.
Halloween time in Honey Hollow, murders happen at the Fright Night Festival and Lottie is getting threatening letters talking about her death by the Prankster, who’s finally revealed. Great story, entertaining as usual, I just lover A. Moore’s style 👍🏼.

Great series. Book 48 is a great addition to the series. Couldn't put it down. Read it in one sitting. Lottie and her friends are still as entertaining now as they were in book 1. Light, easy read. Each book leads to the next. Great characters and world.

Lottie is a baker, but she can also see the dead, mostly those of the furry animal variety. She has a stall at the Fright Night festival but when a dead body turns up, can Lottie find and stop the killer before they strike again.
I enjoyed reading this story and would recommend it.

There is something about Honey Hollow that simply makes me so happy when I read stories set there. Lottie loves baking and it shows throughout the story. You’ll also get hungry. As the Prankster is still there, this cozy mystery keeps you guessing. Such a fun scary cozy mystery.
Another good read by Addison Moore. Lottie is finding her self in more situations. I glad that she and Everette are finally have their own babies. Noah truly needs a life at this point, even his mother thinks so, But the shake up in Honey Hallow has only just begun.
Another wonderful book in this awesome series by author Addison Moore. Each book is so unique. I love reading about Lottie and Honey Hollow. Loved reading this wonderful book...

Lottie Lemon and crew continue to solve bizarre cases in this 48th book of the series! This is a fun, light hearted tale with too many characters, suspects and murder. All this takes place at Halloween which ups the spooky factor.
Adore Lottie and all her shenanigans. This latest book kept me on my toes. Also in stitches at some of the happenings. Completely caught off guard by who the prankster was under the mask. Great story.

Action and twists in the story. Hallowe'en activities. Lottie has a,murder to solve, and the Prankster to catch. Plenty of suspects and motives. Recipes are included for some of the creations in the story. I like this series.
