This was an insanely fun play to read with my gloriously friends, none of which have fungus in their soul. I had to highlight parts and they are below for your reading pleasure. A story of what it means to have your life emblazoned by the puppet masters of good and evil. What do those words mean and are they truly just the same. "You look like a man with fungus in his soul" "There is the darkness all around us, and then there is the darkness within us. The heart of another is a dark forest." "To resurrect her, you simply put your fingers on her secret key and twist" "Music moves like thought but without the clutter and mess of words. It is emotion without content, or rather, you supply the content when you listen." "When we must all shit in the same bucket, it brings people closer together." "Love is like the Spanish Inquisition" "Living with a woman is like being lost at the circus" "You can wind up anything if you have the right key" "The saved and the damned are the the same"
Best Pick up line ever: "Do you have any idea how beautiful you are?" "I've been told that, sir, but I can't see it, myself." "Are there no mirrors in your house? Is this perhaps a house of vampires?
And last but not least, for a special friend, and you know who you are "Poo Poo Cake"
How to rate this... Definitely dark. Definitely twisted. The famed Italian violinist and composer (1782-1840) Niccolo Paganini was said to have sold his soul to the devil. This play tells that story as a sort of wild fantasy. It was not my cup of tea. :) Did I enjoy it? Yes, because the actors all did a great job. However, I did NOT want to go back and watch it being performed again, which is sometimes the case. Disturbing. Why not 1 or 2 stars? Because oddly, I left feeling highly entertained.
